The studio best known for the Rock Band series has announced an all new first person shooter titled Chroma. Harmonix has a long and storied history in music games, but their newest creation implements something completely new: combat. As a first person shooter, Chroma is a bit of a departure from Guitar Hero and Rock Band, but that could be a very good thing. If there’s one studio who has enough musical talent to pull off a “rythym FPS” it’s gonna be Harmonix.
Harmonix, best known for their work on the Rock Band franchise, has announced that they're becoming a part of the Epic Games family.
Harmonix, the developer behind Rock Band and Dance Central, reveal some new gameplay footage for the upcoming DJ song-mixing game.
More Stadia exclusives are on the way.
Google should just stick to tablets software and phones all this news still will not get people to buy the friggin thing. I'd rather buy a PS5 or a Series X then waste cash on Stadia.
Lol what's the point? when will google realise the vast majority don't want to game on their crappy platform?
It's kind of sad. Splash Damage is a great developer, and have made some fantastic games that simply never saw the audience they deserved. Partnering with Stadia isn't going to change that track record, by any means.
As for Super Massive, Until Dawn was fantastic, but their latest release didn't do well, and I think they're looking for any sort of partnership money at this point.
This looks legit!
Looks like a lot of fun actually. Definitely gonna try this one out.
Speaking of music I don't see why a developer has never made a third person musical game in the style of Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds. Like you could have the main character but his singing would be played by a different voice actor.
Kind of like Richard Burton and Justin Hayward in War of the Worlds where Richard was the narrator (main character) and Justin Hayward did the narrators singing bits.
For example, this kind of stuff in a video game.

For those who like the new version with Liam Neeson and Gary Barlow
Very underrated devs.
