GT Academy to make Australian debut later this year

VVV: "The GT Academy programme will be making its debut on Australian asphalt in 2014.

Confirmed by the respective Aussie branches of Sony Computer Entertainment and the Nissan Motor Company, the innovative driver talent scounting competition will be open to avid Gran Turismo players from Down Under for the first time, after both Sony and Nissan acknowledging the "high demand from fans" for a national GT Academy competition."

GT Academy expected to expand to 30 regions in 2014

VVV: "A new trailer by Nismo has teased the GT Academy will incorporate at least 30 regions in 2014.

According to the trailer posted by the motorsports arm of Nissan (the major auto manufacturer that's a collaborative partner on the innovative driver talent spotting program), the various GT Academy tournaments across the world this year will cover at least 30 areas, which will collectively incorporate up to 160 countries."
