Id like to recommend the works of Masafumi Takada and Erica Niwa who nailed pulse pounding tracks in Vanquish, Jesper Kyd's earlier works in Freedom Fighters and Kane and Lynch Dead Men, Daisuke Ishiwatarii with his phenomenal guitar work in the Guilty Gear Series, Akira Yamaoka (need I say more?) and the Chris Tilton / Michael Giacchino power combo in their contribution to Black.
Castlevania Lords of Shadow 1 & 2
2 of my absolute favorites of recent times have been Mirror's Edge and Deus Ex Human Revolution. A couple more that are certainly worth a mention are Red Dead Redemption and Heavy Rain.
Nier better make it on some part of this list.
