Game to screen adaptations are becoming more and more common; here's a few key titles that should get the same treatment.

I hope to see a Fallout tv series one day. I'd prefer a Red Dead movie, there's only so much you can do in a western world, look at Hell On Wheels, it sucks, it used to be a great tv show to watch, I liked it, the last season was meh
Killer is dead anime would work, And be awesome at the same time. 11/10 would watch.
For a TV series to work, you need to be able to give individual characters time to shine and different kinds of episodes to appear; otherwise, it's tough to keep the series going for a long time and it just becomes a movie.
That being said, I agree that Borderlands would be a cool choice. There's a lot of mythology in that world, so you could see a lot of new faces. Same with inFamous. It wouldn't need to focus on Cole or Delsin specifically, but the idea of being a Conduit would definitely work in a serial form.
How about:
Skyrim
Uncharted
Darksiders
GTA
Splinter Cell
I think a Dead Space t.v. show would be awesome on Showtime or HBO.
