SelectButton: "The ExtremeCap U3 can be found on Amazon for the same price as its pocket-sized brother, Live Gamer Portable, and still cheaper than the internal Live Gamer HD. Having USB 3.0 should be a huge factor when determining what product to purchase. If the answer is yes, the ExtremeCap U3 should be the only product on your list, with incredible visual quality and the only way to record 1080p at 60fps videos with a consumer level device. The lack of video pass-through does hurt the product if your PC doesn’t have USB 3.0 due to the lack of video pass-through and Mac users are simply out of luck once again."
While limited by the need for Thunderbolt 3, the AVerMedia Live Gamer BOLT is one of the best external 4K capture cards you can currently buy.
Welcome to the comprehensive review of this AverMedia capture card and we compare it to a cheap capture card from Amazon that we previously bought that gave us a ton of headaches
MonsterVine: "The Live Gamer Mini is a decent pick for your first capture card due to how easy it makes streaming and recording. Its simplicity makes it a hard sell for anyone looking for more features, as does its requirements for a decent dedicated laptop/computer for streaming or recording."
Sorry but how old is this review? It states that this device can only capture video @ 30Mbps if recording 1080p/60fps.....but I bought this device in the last week of January and when I installed the latest drivers/software, it allowed me to capture video @ 60Mbps when 1080p/60fps
