Octodad: Dadliest Catch is the sequel to the 2010 surprise hit Octodad. Octodad, developed by a group of students at DePaul University, started out as a project for the Independent Games Festival Student Showcase. The project received high praise for its innovative game design and unique gameplay features by many game journalists and gamers alike. After the success of Octodad, many of the original team members came together to form Young Horses and launched a kickstarter for Octodad: Dadliest Catch. The sequel brings back the same innovative gameplay that earned the original so much praise; however, it is a double-edged sword because it is also the game’s main source of frustration and aggravation.
