PALGN writes: "When LEGO Star Wars was released back in 2005 the game was a breath of fresh air. After a series of poor Star Wars games our hopes weren't all that high for the game, but the game well and truly exceeded our initial expectations. Two more LEGO Star Wars games were released by Lucasarts but now the series is moving onto other things, in the form of LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures . We recently had a chance to go hands on with LEGO Indiana Jones, so how is it shaping up?
Anyone who has played the previous LEGO Star Wars games should have a fair idea of what to expect from LEGO Indiana Jones. Players start the game with Indiana Jones who doesn't have a gun, but of course, has his trusty whip (characters can also pick up weapons from enemies such as spears and arrows). Players cannot just play through the game with just Indy, who will bring along a companion for missions. Much like in the LEGO Star Wars games, using Indy has its advantages and disadvantages. Indy for example can swing from ropes and pull objects out of walls with his rope, but he cannot dig for coins. This means that players will need to use a wide variety of characters to get through the game. There are more than 60 characters in the game (including Marion Ravenwood, Short Round, Rene Belloq and more) and players can also customise characters. You'll meet new characters throughout the single-player campaign and switching characters is as simple as pressing Y."
Sure, they may be made for a child audience, but TT Games' Lego games are still incredibly fun for any age! Here's our ranking of the very best.
I dislike the LEGO games after the first one I played. They are just cut and paste with a new skin- My son liked them so we had a few over the years .Star Wars, Lord of the Rings , Batman but after the first it just felt like an extension of the first game on an endless loop
They are ok games, but every single one of them are basically the same. I enjoyed Lego Star Wars 1 and 2 and then the complete collection, but every other one after that has just been the same thing and it got a little dull.
had a lot more fun with Lego Marvel Superheroes than any other lego game.
Might be partly due to the fact there wasn't a lot else to play on my new PS4 when it came out
Carlos writes "Ah, Indi, you make your return, and whilst many people are likely to complain at the newest addition to the Backwards Compatible library - due mainly to the fact it isn’t one of the last remaining Call of Duty titles to arrive via the program - there will certainly be many others who will be excited by the addition."
Star Wars video games are great, but they aren’t the only place that your favorite Star Wars characters show up! You might be surprised to find out that you can play as Yoda, Darth Maul, Han Solo, Darth Vader, and Jango Fett in other video games.
I really liked using Vader and Starkiller in Soulcaliber. A full-blown Star Wars fighting game could potentially be fantastic.
Secret Weapons over Normandy was new to me. That game must also be so old that it could run on a smart phone
Man I love Darth maul in Tony hawk 3!! And Man do I miss good Tony hawk games they should just remake one two and 3 all in one deal I would buy it in a heart beat.
