Colton Steury writes: "Crytek is working on a new, unannounced project with Todd Papy, famous for his work on the God of War series, as the director. Given Papy’s history, it’s likely this new game is an action title, though there is no indication as to if it is a sequel to Crytek’s recently released Ryse: Son of Rome, or a new game entirely."
Crytek gives an update on their new Crysis game, confirming that it's still in development, with more to share down the road.
That's awesome. So how long till the studio closes and everyone gets fired?
Crytek is looking for a Lead Producer, Lead AI Programmer and Lead Environment Artist for the next part of the Crysis series, Crysis 4.
This sucks. I was hoping to at least get a trailer this year with the game releasing next year or soon after
if seems like if theres is a developer that can show you what a high performance gaming rig can do it can only be Crytek atm, today imo lots of people think path tracing in Cyberpunk is the big deal, but for me is just a useless gfx that only eats your performance, it doesn't bring nothing new in gameplay , physics a hilariously bad, and the AI... lol what AI Cyberpunk has? lol, so I hope the new crysis brings new ways of playing and with real stunning visuals, like Crysis 1 did back in 2007, and finally make a good justification to get powerful GPU, seriously 2000 dlls and get 10 to 20 fps natively in game is just pathetic and actually very funny lol. :D
"We are happy to announce that Mattias Engström, known for his work as Game Director for Hitman 3 at IO Interactive, joins the Crysis family as Game Director for the 4th installment in the Crysis franchise, starting this week."
it´s darksiders III in collaboration with nordic games.
Darksiders 3 could very well be it, too. Homefront 2 and a next-gen Crysis 4 are still in the running, though.
I respect how Crytek is enhancing it's game's portfolio, it's what I would aspire to do as an indie dev.
Homefront 2 I bet.
Homefront or Darksiders most likely.
