Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was praised by game critics last year for its successful meshing of story and gameplay. Controlling the two brothers of the story with one analog stick each can take some getting used to, but you’ll find your rhythm as you solve puzzles with the end goal of saving your ailing father.

Y'know, with PS4 released and PS+ Mandatory to play online now, i assumed the quality of PS+ support would slowly diminish and they would just coast along.

It's been the exact opposite.PS+ is just getting better and better.Can't wait for this one.

Exactly. I went on to get download a different game and DMC was sitting there undownloaded! Free for me.

The value is incredible, something you do not really appreciate as much until you join what with sales reductions for members ontop of some amazing titles you would might of never considered.

I'm a avid gamer but busy lady and struggle to get through so many great deals on ps+

A great reason to keep hold of your ps3 still as well :p

So excited to play 2 Bros. It kind of went under the radar but I still had my eye on it. Rev3 gave it a ton of praise which is where i first heard of it.Super glad it's finally coming to Playstation.

Very much so. They certainly saved me some money this month.

I was almost considering purchasing the new DmC at some point, maybe if it had hit 10-15 dollars, I thought hey, maybe it's not as bad as I think it will be and that I was overreacting a little bit, and that just maybe, while it might not be a good devil may cry game, it might be a good game in it's own right.

I was wrong. An hour playing that game with one of the most obnoxious, d-bag characters I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing in a video game, and I quit the game, and wiped that piece of crap off my hard drive forever. I almost made the mistake of buying it. But thanks to ps+, that didn't happen. Value indeed (no sarcasm).

I'm torn on if i should pick up THE WALKING DEAD: FIRST SEASON for the vita, with their current sale it is $5.

but its like 2.3GB

and i have a feeling it could show up in the IGC soon too :/

That's ridiculous. I actually have way too much to play now thanks to PS+. I keep switching between Don't Starve on PS4 to Borderlands 2 and DMC on PS3, and now this? I already have about 10 games on my hard drive that I haven't had to chance to play. Amazing Value.

I wonder how this works with the parent companies of the games that Sony gives away free. Does Sony pay the developer a royalty every time is it downloaded?
I would think the developers of said games would not be happy to lose sales in lue of free downloads.

Im pretty sure that Sony pay a one off payment to the devs to allow the game to be included on PS plus? Don't quote me on that though, although i am pretty sure that's how it works.

One time payment. You will also see that a lot of stuff is setting up a devs new game that is coming out for retail in the near future. I think plus is a great way to give the customer a free game or at least heavily discounted and to give a developer exposure.

I think one flat fee. It's good for Indies because they can probably fund their next game with the PS+ money.

While you got a lot of answers, none of them are exactly accurate.

Basically, Sony offers something in exchange for adding the game to the IGC. This is typically money, though various reports have stated that it isn't always money.

You need to take a marketing class. After XYZ time, a game loses all its "real" value. Games like Borderlands 2 and BioShock Infinite are awesome for us, but they're also around a year old and could be had for $20 dollars. Companies know that they don't have a good chance of getting sales, so they give it with plus (losing sales, but gaining people who wouldn't play a game like say DmC) and hope these people buy the DLC (Vergil's Downfall for DmC). It also increases interest, drives later sales and a bunch of other good things.

PS+ is a great deal but,requiring it for online play is stupid. The day they stop the deals is the day I will sell my Playstations(PS4 & Vita).

i dont see anyway sony could stop giving free games. everyone who has plus knows how it works and everyone would be pissed they would crush themselves if they stopped.

i love plus. just pissed i had my ps3 stolen in july. cause alot of the games i wanted for it they are giving for free now. i got a vita and ps4 though so im still getting alot with plus.

Use the online store to put those PS3 games on your download list. If you ever come across a cheap PS3, you'll have all those + games in your backlog, ready for download.

You have to have patience and understand that it's early in the PS4's life and not a lot of games are even out for it, let alone games that they can add to the Instant Game Collection. The good AAA free games will come as time passes. Jeez dude.

Disc-based games are digital too. It's not analog...
They just happen to be read off a disc instead of a hard drive.

He's talking about downloadable games. Come on, you know what he meant. And there is a huge difference between "digital" as he means it and disc games as far as value and the freedom of use. I suspect you know this as well. Why act like there isn't a difference? Unless you're referring to PC games, which he isn't.

Don't Starve and Contrast are fantastic games that are unique and fresh compared most console games. Quit getting hung up on the idea that "Indie" games are somehow lesser quality that "AAA" games. It seems that most people don't even know what "Indie" means anymore.
