PS4 Exclusive inFAMOUS: Second Son Gets Funny "Memes" and Artwork to Prepare Us For Release

Sucker Punch is gearing up the promotion of inFAMOUS: Second Son, that will be released in little over two month on March the 21st.

Today they released something quite peculiar: three funny memes based on the mood of the game, and a piece of artwork showing Delsin Rowe as he watches Seattle’s Space Needle.

Lame...

Can't wait for the game though! Already got it on pre-order.

Abriael3783d ago (Edited 3783d ago )

Personally, I find them funny (besides the kind of banal "destined for greatness" one), and even more so, appropriate to Delsin's character, which is what matters the most.

Shadonic3783d ago

that was the only one that I viewed as slightly funny. Would of been funny if he was holding a PS4 and it was posted in response to some fanboy post or something IDK.

guitarded773783d ago

This is about as funny as Dane Cook's original material.

PeaSFor3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

lame memes, but im hyped for the game.

i hope Delsin is an asshole, could be nice to see him as he embrace his darker sides like Sylar from Heroes(absorb powers) or in Chronicle(go berserk/powertrip).

saladthieves3782d ago

Was wondering if I was the only person who didn't find them funny :/

Can't wait for the game though!

pics where beautiful, but not funny at all. Should have just posted the pics lol

ITPython3783d ago

The graphics... oh the graphics!!

If I was only allowed to buy one game for my PS4 in 2014, this would be it. Absolutely loved the first two and got a heck of a lot of playtime out of them due to the sandbox nature of the game.

I haven't looked much into it, but I hope they don't tack on some kind of multiplayer. Games like this benefit the most when the devs are 100% focused on the SP.

Rimeskeem3782d ago

im going to play this game so much i hoepfully will get smoke power

DigitalRaptor3783d ago

This just makes Delsin seem like more of a douche.

But I seriously cannot wait to play. 61 days! :)

Abriael3783d ago

I thought he was supposed to sound exactly like that?

GarrusVakarian3783d ago (Edited 3783d ago )

Im pretty sure the devs intend him to be an arrogant, care-free douche. I like it, it's a change from the usual SUPER SERIOUS GENERIC BADASS SQUINTY - EYED HANDSOME MALE, lol.

@Abriel

Because people love SUPER SERIOUS GENERIC BADASS SQUINTY-EYED HANDSOME MALES? Lol.

Delsin isn't handsome, isn't ripped, doesn't have great, designer stubble, doesn't use action flick one liners, doesn't have a gun and doesn't squint his eyes......and i welcome the change.

Abriael3783d ago

Agreed, I really don't see why the disagrees.

CrossingEden3783d ago

Don't forget to mention the shaved head. Cause remember cole was supposed to look like this in the second game.
http://static3.wikia.nocook...
http://www.suckerpunch.com/...
Which was to represent his newer laid back personality and the fact that he was able to get over the events of the first game. But we can't have interesting looking protagonists, BACK TO THE SHAVED HEAD, because we totes don't have enough of that style already in games....oh wait
http://www.giantbomb.com/sh...
Secondly, idk about you, but I find delsin handsome, because he looks like troy baker.
Delsin is like the new dante, as in he's designed to act like the modern day young adult, from the more art university college student style. And they pulled that off pretty well, I got to an art university, and can't tell you how many people I see wearing beanies, slightly tight jeans, and flannel shirts. My roommates even go out every night to spray paint.

Hicken3782d ago

@CrossingEden: WTF? When did Cole get over what happened in Empire City? When did he become laid back? Given his personality in inFamous 2, he didn't really get over anything. He accepted some things, but he didn't get any more laid back.

That would have been a completely different Cole from the first game, and he'd have looked the part. And it would have forced the game to be completely different from what it was. I'm no video game designer, but I AM a character designer: that critical a change to the protagonist- particularly between stories- would have required a complete change in the narrative, and the rest of the characters and how they interacted with Cole. It would have changed the whole game.

I think it's far more likely that Cole's appearance changed because people didn't like the new look, and it wouldn't have really worked with the story. It would be entirely too much work to rewrite the entire game for this Cole you say existed.

It IS possible, though. But if it did happen, why don't you have any links to prove that? You've got links for everything else.

DigitalRaptor3783d ago

I'm not saying that him acting a douche is a bad thing. Some characters suit that, and I understand that the way he's been written for good reason as to suit the story and other supporting characters.

But yeah, I still think he is an interesting fellow, and I do welcome change. Not a bad thing at all.

Conzul3783d ago

Yeah, God forbid they give the character any...... Character!

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM137d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck136d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati136d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos136d ago (Edited 136d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88168d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183167d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie167d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
