IO Interactive's open letter suggested a return to roots for everyone's favourite bald assassin. But after the divisive Absolution, do IO have what it takes to make a proper Hitman game once more? Dealspwn's Matt Gardner hopes so.
Is World 1-1 the greatest first level ever?
A great weight rests on the shoulders of the opening area of a game. Be it a level, a mission, or the first quest in a role-playing adventure, this zone, barring any opening cutscenes, marks the first time players will get to experience the world developers spent tireless months and years creating. In our current era of widely available and disposable games, that first sequence is so important because if it’s poor, the player has a million options it can substitute it for.
Another fun leak this weekend comes to us from not one but two online video game rating boards as we now know that not only are we getting a new Hitman game soon, but we even know the title that IO Interactive has in mind
really want a full on hitman game with a campaugn. i always thought the hitman campaigns were excellent. obviously if they also want to do what they did with hitman reboot they can within the same game
In order to get this trophy you first need to complete three oddly named challenges which includes: Killing the General as a Prisoner, Snapping the neck of the Banker as a masseur and killing both with the .50 cal guns
Killing the General as the Prisoner
This is the first Challenge to snag the .50 Personal Touch Trophy. In this guide you will also earn these challenges.
It's easy to be cynical with these types of bold statements, I always am. I'm sure the figureheads of IO mean every word they say here, it's just hard to stick to your guns when you have any AAA game. The publishers will always have a big say in what the finished game is & Square Enix will want it accessible. Over the past few years we've seen dozens of critically acclaimed games not sell. Let's hope they can stick to making the game they want to & not the game a publisher demands.
They could of atleast shown us something, that's normally how game announcements come
No magic pockets = a return to an actual assassin game. At least this one will be like older ones where 47 must conceal his larger weapons in a box or something. At least if you want to be ninja extraordinaire around other AI.
I thought I read not too long ago that the next Hitman was cancelled.
