Amazon Lists PS4 and Xbox One Versions of Rayman Legends for $40

Hardcore Gamer: Ever since Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was confirmed to retail for $60, gamers have been worried that all these enhanced ports will receive the same price tag. This was backed up with GameStop listing Rayman Legends for $60, but Amazon currently has the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version for $40.

I hope this is the new / actual MSRP, since these enhanced ports really shouldn't be $60 dollars. That is, unless they add substantial new content or I suppose a GOTY edition (provided it has actual DLC worth caring about, like Batman Arkham City).

They should make a bundle of Origins and Legends.And still $40 its expensive for a port!

To be honest now is the time frame to port your game over to the new consoles. If you're just starting to work on your port, save it until January - March 2015, because it's going to get overshadowed.

These enhanced ports, show come up all the content and DLC, updated graphics and resolution, worthwhile bonus content exclusive to the new consoles, and a price tag of no more than $40. They should be treat just like HD Collections IMO.

Completely agree. Origins + Legends, 1080p @ 60fps, all content $40 is worthwhile. Just Legends for $40, and I'll pass.

These next-gen ports need to be no brainers, because most of the people who wanted the game already bought it. The people buying it now, are those who missed it and have nothing better to play on their new console, or those who want to run through again with better graphics. Both of which are reasons these ports should be reduced price.

Tomb Raider could have came with the Tomb Raider Guardian of Light along with the updated graphics, and it should have only been $40 still.

When will people / these companies learn that Greed will get you shunned.

You do realize that Legends has a good portion of the levels included in Origins, right?

If not, Legends has 40 / roughly 60 of the levels in Origins, which is more than half. Sure, some levels are gimped (like Land of the Livid Dead), but you still have more duplicate content than new content.

I don't see how 1080p/60fps would be any different. I know rayman legends already did and i'd assume rayman origins did as well. They should just make a bundle game including origins, legends and the runners on android (my favorite android games).

We are witnessing the beginning of this gen newest trend...rehash and remakes of remakes. If these last gen game ports become successful we have only ourselves to blame. Everyone "couldn't wait" until "next gen" but now that its here, greedy devs choose to rehash old games instead of concentrating on new experiences they rather play their fans for suckers.

This is actually not a new trend.

For ages we've seen companies repackage, resell, rehash and port last gen things into the next gen. Usually they're bundled (like Super Mario All-Stars), but not always (Pokemon Leaf Green / Fire Red), but they've been doing this for at least a decade. In fact, a lot of the PSP's line up was ported PS2 games with maybe some new content, which is a trend you can also see on the Vita and in reverse with HD portable games (Assassins Creed Liberation HD).

I'm with you. I didn't buy a ps4 to play old ps3 games with a higher resolution. If I want just a higher res I'd stick to my gaming PC.
