Most point-and-click adventure titles will stump the player over and over, with Hero of the Kingdom leaning more towards an enjoyable and peaceful gameplay experience. The lack of depth in the characters doesn’t do the title’s story justice – which seemed poised for a greater impact on the player. The look and feel of this game are extremely polished. Overall, the game is enjoyable in many ways – but could have been improved in many ways as well. Lovers of the genre should definitely give it a play, and from the viewpoint of having an appeal for the gamer looking for that relaxed experience to break up the monotony of other titles – this game shouldn’t be skipped for its asking price."

Hero of the Kingdom is a pretty cool, non-linear adventure game although with poor visuals. It is very lovable for some reasons, even if you do not like the look of it - trying it, is still a good idea.
Hero of the Kingdom is a throwback salute to old-school adventure games, where simple graphics and midi sounds paved the way for a text based quest. Join our hero, a poor farm boy left alone to tend the homestead while his father goes to market, when suddenly, bandits raze the farm to the ground and kidnap his father. Left with little choice, our unlikely hero is thrown into the adventure of a lifetime as he attempts to hunt down the bandits in order to rescue his father.
