so awesome, it can't even support more than 99peoples on your friend list.....

sigh....

RobbyGrob3766d ago

As if anyone has 99 friends who use UPlay.

PeaSFor3766d ago (Edited 3766d ago )

i have 187 peoples on ps4 brah, some peoples arent on last gen anymore, with a 2000 friend limit ubisoft have to get their shit togheter.

RobbyGrob3766d ago

@PeaSFor

Eh... you misunderstood miserably. This had nothing to do with how many friends anyone has. Lots of people have hundreds of friends on many different platforms and communities such as Steam. Your boasting means nothing. I meant that among them all, UPlay is so impopular in comparison that nobody could possibly hit 99 on their friends list. The few people i know who use UPlay for a few games don't even bother adding anyone to their list.

"Eh... you misunderstood miserably."
oh the irony... thats pretty much what you just did.

Both the Xbox One and PS4 now allow more than 100 friends on their friends list. If you have more than 100 friends, you cannot login to UPlay on either console.

btw, even if you use steam, it will FORCE you to launch Uplay and wont even take notice or include your steam friend list into uplay shit client, you may want to inform yourself before talking about this blatant bug, it could avoid you to look like a clueless child.

nuff said, kiddo.

RobbyGrob3766d ago

@PeaSFor

The fact that you assume that people are aware of the inability to access the Ubisoft servers if you have more than 99 friends is sad enough.

*Sigh* Let the assumptions roll. There's always someone who pulls out the ol' "Kiddo" to make themselves feel better. Why exactly does age factor in here? I'm close to 30. And you're close to three bubbles.

I agree that it's ridiculous that the amount of friends you have affect whether you can connect to Ubisoft or not. But the fact that they haven't bothered fixing this earlier is rather hilarious as it seems as if not even Ubisoft believes that people have 99 friends on UPlay.

This is yet another example of "journalists" acting like nothing more than corporate shills.

If Uplay is so awesome, why did Ubisoft promise to scale it back for next gen? If Uplay is so awesome, why are UBisoft's forums full of "I can't get Uplay to work!!!" posts?

jimbobwahey3767d ago

UPlay is garbage and much like EA's crappy Origin service, they both need to disappear.

Moncole3766d ago

Origin is better than Uplay because it doesn't force it self on you when playing an EA game on Steam.

dedicatedtogamers3766d ago

At least EA is trying with Origin. Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who doesn't have an Origin acct. and who hates Steam, but for what it's worth, Origin is doing stuff that even Steam isn't, like allowing you to return a digital game for full refund within the first 24 hours no questions asked.

Seafort3766d ago

Yeah uplay is so awesome it deletes save files in their cloud and ubisoft don't have back ups so everything is lost.

Happened to me with AC4 I was 60% complete when they decided to have maintenance and not tell anyone so alot of ppl lost their cloud saves.

Maxor3766d ago

This guy has a point. One of my favorite thing about Uplay is the fact that I can earn additional content by playing a game.

Bathyj3766d ago

The thing I hate about it is it's forcing you to join this service to get all the content, and it asks you to join every time you play the game. Twice.

LAWSON723766d ago

Games in the past have done that without the need of a crappy service or any service for that matter.

Raf1k13766d ago

TBH the additional content should be a part of the game to unlock like it has been in the past. It'd be pretty crap if you couldn't unlock extra outfits in Assassin's Creed without UPlay.

I haven't played the latest one so don't know if that's even the case with it.

Gamer6663766d ago

That doesn't need to be in uPlay. Games can unlock and give you content on their own.

Ubisoft's Recent Antics Have Me Fearful For The Sands of Time Remake

Hanzala from eXputer: "With Ubisoft's practices becoming increasingly anti-consumer lately, the destruction of The Sands of Time Remake looks almost inevitable."

Hey Ubi, here's a gun, don't shoot yourself in the foot.

At this point, only dummies have any hope left for Ubi-junk games.

Every industry has these issues

Some companies I’ve worked for were great and some were toxic as hell (UPS when I was a teenager was extremely toxic and I have heard it still is) It all starts at the top. They either hold people accountable , set standards and treat people with respect or the crap rolls downhill.
