Hopefully it's confirmed and bring Suzuki for one last game!

The title made me chuckle......XD. Good read.

Can you imagine the explosion of hate the devs would get if they did create the game and made it a Wii U exclusive?
Bay 2's drama would pale in comparison. Some Fanboys might even try to go through with the threats they would make.XD
Ah well. Its a shame that it isn't getting made at all for any system at this point. It would be nice if it existed.

Mentioning Wii U it's a blasphemy in this site, specially when you are requesting a Shenmue game on that system. You know, I'd like one game of the series on the Wii U, but for now it's clearly obvious that the game would perform better commercially on the PS4. Xbox One will suffer the same sales syndrome of the Xbox 360 in Japan, so I wouldn't expect a version for that console.

if it comes to Wii U ill get it for Wii u Idc what console this come on ill buy it to play it

admiralvic3798d ago

The Wii U hate came from the fact that it was on the PS3 / 360 and has a fan base there and would be going to a system that isn't associated with the same mature themes Bayonetta is known for.

It would be no different than Ryu ga Gotoku Ishin being a Wii U exclusive. The series is on the PlayStation, all the fans are on the PlayStation, there is no telling how many fans will be on the Wii U or how many would be interested in playing the 6th (many more if you count the side games) game in a series. Bayonetta is a little different, because people really want PG to get the success they deserve, since they really do make great games and are rarely get the sales / chances to be as commercially successful as they should be.

With that being said, I could see people being okay with Shenmue 3 being on the Wii U. Nintendo beat Sega, so it would be okay to see the series on the Wii U. I would prefer all platforms (so no one is left out), but I don't think it would be as bad as the Bayonetta 2 situation.

Shenmue III as a PS4 exclusive. I'm just going to go ahead and say it's coming. Sega couldn't be such b******s that they would put "Shen 3" as a license plate number and not follow it up with anything.

Mark Cerny is a close friend with Yu Suzuki, and has translated his presentations on numerous occasions. He is now at GDC breaking down the first Shenmue, also in such a crucial year for the PS4.

Adam Koralik rationalised that PS4 is the only console that Shenmue III would make sense to be housed on, and he is correct without a doubt. http://www.youtube.com/watc...

All signs point to PS4, and Sony's XDEV initiative, and their "third party list" having Shenmue at the top solidifies their willingness to get this sequel off the ground. It truly is now, or never and I hope Sony are a part of its re-introduction with Sega and Suzuki-san.

C'mon Sega, we MUST take revenge on Lan Di!

And you don't just end on a WTF cliffhanger like you did in Shenmue 2. The story HAS to continue!

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken62d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake63d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol
