Damn thing doesn't even work right here in the UK. Blu-rays, TV and even Netflix all suffer with judder that microsoft refuse to even acknowledge let alone fix.

Won't play 3D Blu Ray discs that also have the 2D version on them. "Step Up 3D" to be precise.

Won't play brand new DVD "Planes" for some reason.

Yes this is well known, but the disc also contains the 2D version which cannot be accessed.

I knew this would happen! ..because MS have gone for the all-in-one media box route, every man and his neighbors dog will have a dig at any/every aspect of the machines capabilities. Sony attempted to market the PS3 as a media box and that didn't work for them at launch as mass consumer confusion ensued.

Don't be surprised if a slew of non-gaming entities start putting their 2 cents in!

Don't get me wrong, I personally don't see anything wrong with Xbox One in general, and I would certainly not encourage you or anyone to get a refund. However, if some people purchased XB1 for its media functionality, and are unhappy as seems the case on this very page...then it's not too late to get a refund. Same applies to all consoles.

If the people at Microsoft were smart, they would have put in a separate processor, nothing fancy or expensive at all, and allow the use of any usb digital tv tuner. That would have been great.

Both consoles have a separate pool of ram for tasks other than gaming, I also believe that the ps4 has another low task processor. The ability to use my media center TV tuner on the XBone with all its functions would have been a great idea. I'm sure they could allow it somehow as it's running a version of Windows 8.

I certainly wouldn't agree that the original PS3 phat was an 'eyesore' IMHO I loved its design. One of my favourites. And the glossy black finish was never an issue. Once under my TV, none of my consoles is particularly handled; rather given a regular dusting when needed.

So far everything has been working just fine. I'm really impressed by the Xbox One. I own a PS4 as well, but I rarely play it. I'll probably use it like I did with the last generation. I played it for its exclusives. I really like the X1's UI. I can multitask real easy and switch over to different apps in a snap (no pun intended). Sorry for those that have bought into the Xbox One experience and haven't enjoyed their purchase. I got exactly what I thought I was getting and I have no regrets cause I haven't experienced any problems. As far as 3D blurays are concerned, whichever console updates to the 3D first will be my 3D Bluray player. One of them needs to produce an update.

my samsung smart superslim 55'led/lcd can display anything on 3d and it looks bad ass ps4+ps3+tv= unlimited 3d for me and my family!!!
