"If you tried connecting to the Nintendo eShop via your 3DS or Wii U on Christmas Day, you were probably met with an error message, much like Steam’s and PlayStation Network’s online stores.
Unlike the PSN and Steam, however, the eShop’s connection errors have spilled over into the day after, preventing a number of eShoppers from presumably spending their recently-acquired credit on the service.
In Nintendo of America’ latest tweet, posted today at 5:59 PM EST, the company apologized 'for the continued interruption of Nintendo eShop service” and assured users that it is 'working to resolve the situation.'" - Patrick Kulikowski
Users will be greeted with error code 2813-2470 if they try to purchase something from the Argentinian eShop without having a bank card or gift card registered for that particular country.
They need to start quality control and getting rid of the shovelware garbage that's been infecting eShop lately.
Nintendo has decided to cease its eShop services in Russia starting from May 31 in a largely expected move.
Good. You can't invade a foreign sovereign country and expect things to go on hunky dory. Queue the Russian bots to down vote me. I don't care. This is not okay. A child and her mother killed over night. In their own home. In their own country.
Dan Rizzo says "So this is where we’re at with Nintendo and their continuous colloquy of tedious arguments against emulation. It’s funny how a company that’s so against open-source emulation, uses it to sell commercial products such as the NES and SNES Classic Mini, but release a minimal quantity to drum-up all the hype behind it, only to leave a majority of its fanbase disappointed when struggling to acquire the now collector’s piece."
someone made a good point that older music, movies, and books are far more easier to get access to than games. I think the industry needs to make a change. It's crazy that so much is gone now and I'm willing to pay for the games, but there's literally no way to get them now.
Going on 3 days...
I'm sure consumers have already returned millions of dollars worth of merchandise by now.
Bundles should come with external software, or at the very least pre-installed.
**sigh**
As if things weren't bad enough for Nintendo... can't wait to see what blunder they come up with next.
I'm probably going to get a Wii U in the next couple of days with my Christmas money so hopefully its up by then. I'm gonna get the awesome Wind Waker HD bundle. And it comes with a digital version WWHD and people aren't able to download it because you need the eshop.
Well at least it's not a brick out of the box like some console...
Yeah I got the Link Between Worlds 3DS XL bundle for Christmas and was not able to download my digital copy of the game until a couple of hours ago. It sucked.
i got a 3ds for Christmas and a nintendo eshop card and im here waiting for nintendo to fix the problem i am not very happy with nintendos first impression on me.
