Max: The Curse Of Brotherhood Review — paulsemel

While it may not be the next-gen platformer we've been waiting for, Max: The Curse Of Brotherhood is still pretty fun.

This is the most half assed review ever!!! It's like the person played the first few levels, took some screenshots and posted a review.

No where does the person mention Max's evolving powers, nor the whole story. It says you raise dirt platforms and jump around.. give me a break. Next time play the game for more than thirty minutes. I've been playing since 8 am and I'm loving it.

You're right, this was half-assed. Sounds to me like he's just bad at games... he complained about having to move the left stick while pulling the right trigger...

If he can't figure that out, he probably hasn't unlocked any of the other powers yet...

lastofgen3808d ago

I have to agree.
I've played through the game all morning and this review does not go in depth at all with the game.

I'm not done with the game yet, but I'm digging every second of it.

GamerXGATT3808d ago

Again, just to be clear, this isn't a review. Someone played it a few minutes and gave it a score. Max does far more in the game than raising platforms and sometimes jumping vines.. do yourself a favor and wait for a real review... Wow.

In response to the above criticisms, I've altered my review slightly to explain my points better, while still not spoiling anything, which was why I didn't detail some of Max's other magic marker powers in the first place. Which is also why I didn't spoil the story.

As for the control issues, what I should've said was that using right trigger and the left thumbstick is counter-intuitive. This has also been added to my review.

That said, I stand by my original assessment, which is that this game is fun.

If using the right trigger and the left analogue stick in tandem is counterintuitive then every single Call of Duty game ever could be labelled as being counterintuitive in regards to aiming and shooting. Obviously it's not counterintuitive though and you're just about retard who writes crap game reviews.

mhunterjr3807d ago

I just don't understand how that is counter intuitive. That's pretty much a standard control method in this day and age. Left stick for movement, right trigger is a modifier. In this case, RT modified whether you are moving max or the marker. Simple stuff.

Because even after playing a while, my natural instinct was often to move the right thumbstick after pulling the right trigger.

Though, as I said in the review, this was "just a minor inconvenience."

So, that's that, then? We're fine with people making up fake sales that are Amazon price matching PSN and XBL every single week? I think I'm done with N4G.

Eidolon2182d ago

Been going on for over a year from the first time i've been seeing em, it pisses me off too that admins allow this to keep going on
