Game looks great and has some great platforming having watched their previous work this gameplay ---> http://www.youtube.com/watc... Man I need to get more into platforming games :) Will try when it comes out on X360.

BattleTorn3809d ago

I can't wait to get Max on Xbox One tomorrow!

I got into platformers really late. Like, playing R&C:aCiT last summer - I now love nearly all them.

My favorite nextgen game might actually be Knack. (that statements shows how new I am to platformers :P)

lastofgen3809d ago

it's pretty surprising it's coming out this friday.
definitely a good christmas surprise. :)

1080P 60FPS on small non resource hogging games maybe.

Xbox One is already suffering 1080P on more resource demanding games. Only way Xbox is achieving 60fps is downgrading graphics and effects.

mikeslemonade3809d ago

This isn't evidence for "Xbox one gpu to be competitive for many years".

It's a sidescrolling game. Donkey Kong game can rival this game.

windblowsagain3809d ago

By the looks of that game, it should run 4k 60fps,lol.

4Sh0w3809d ago

No that should be Knack.

Eonjay3809d ago

The Xbox gamers need to appreciate ever effort being made to make the Xbox a viable platform. They paid more money, they should at least get some content in 1080P. COD may be too much for now, but these smaller scale titles will look great on the Xbox as they would on any contemporary platform.

The game does look fun btw. I would definitely play.

Mister_Dawg3809d ago

Why should xbox gamers appreciate every effort being made to make the xbox a viable platform?
That statement just stinks of a Sony fanboy.

Eonjay3809d ago

Because for the price you got a TV box with a built in video game system. Its nice that they are going to still try to make it seem like a viable option for gamers. You don't have to be a fanboy to speak the truth. Be grateful they even bothered. You wanted TV didn't you? You got TV. Now you want games to? Well damn. You would have gotten a game console if thats what you wanted.
Stop being a brat and be grateful.

BattleTorn3809d ago

He's absolutely correct.

People who want high quality games (in 1080p) should be sure to support the 1080p content that gets provided.

There isn't really a lot of 1080p on Xbox One as of now. And 1080p games getting poor support will only reinforce the direction Microsoft is taking, which is slowly away from being gaming-focused..

@Eonjay

Ok Sony lover. The XB1 is nothing more than TV box with a few gaming features tagged on as an after thought. Was any of your post an original thought or are you just a sheep following all the Sony masses?

I suppose you should be totally pissed at owning a PS4. Having all that 'gaming' console power and the developers couldn't be bothered to make any decent launch games to show it off.
I guess you should just be grateful they even bothered to make any games at all.

Don't be an immature person and be grateful for what you have, as many don't have much at all.

mhunterjr3809d ago

The games are what make a console a viable console for gamers, and and there has never been an indication that the Xbox one wouldn't have good games on it...

If you think 1080p is required to make something viable to a gamer, then you aren't a typical gamer. MOST of us put fun above all else.

BattleTorn3809d ago

Who created this paradigm that games are either fun or graphical?

Aka Gameplay vs Graphics.

Cause whenever someone argues for gameplay>graphics, or "fun above all else" - it comes off as saying graphics don't matter.
And same goes for graphics whores. (which I am admittely)

Why can't we have both? Graphics and gameplay?

Why can't games be immense fun, and look great?

mhunterjr3809d ago

@battleTorn

No one is implying that graphics don't matter. I'm stating the FACT that graphical potential has NEVER been the determining factor in what makes a game system 'viable'.

It's always been about whether or not people enjoy playing the games that are available for it.

There are many cases, where a games graphics make the experience more enjoyable. But there are MANY MORE cases where the most well received games aren't the prettiest, or available on the most powerful system.

Why did the ps2, dominate its generation? Why is the 3ds crapping all over the ps vita? Neither of those devices could muster the graphics of its competition, but people still flocked to them... Because that's where the fun was to be had.

So, that's that, then? We're fine with people making up fake sales that are Amazon price matching PSN and XBL every single week? I think I'm done with N4G.

Eidolon2182d ago

Been going on for over a year from the first time i've been seeing em, it pisses me off too that admins allow this to keep going on
