Die Hard Trilogy on the PS1 is the GOAT DH game.

It was also kinda crazy to think it had 3 entirely different types of game in it. Driving, third person shooter and a rail / light gun shooter.

Becuzisaid504d ago

Truly an incredible game, against all odds. DH1 got pretty reprove toward the end, but the other 2 we're short enough to keep the fun up.

Snookies12504d ago

Absolutely, the Die Hard Trilogy was a must-own title for PS1 back in the day! Had so much fun with it, and I wasn't even a really big Die Hard movie fan back then.

Eidolon504d ago

Was watching some gameplay, games look like a blast. Don't think you have to even have heard of Die Hard to enjoy them. I mean, what's being a fan going to help besides the initial purchase.. movie games hardly have much correlation to the source material, design choices are usually all over the place.

It was a quintessential release. Which is why it boggles me how the sequel fell apart so quickly.

I had the Scorpion light gun for this game. It was awesome. Loved all 3 back in the day.

For me die hard trilogy was the best one. They should actually do another one in memory of Bruce Willis. Sad what happened to him.

They skipped the old PC game where Caps Lock turned on God mode. We played that a ton.

PlayStation: From A to Z – The Letter “D”

Ken McKown writes: The From A to Z series lets our editors go back and take a look at games from past generations that are classics, overlooked gems, or just titles they remember fondly. The idea behind this is to pick five games from each letter of the alphabet, once a week to showcase. This delivers 26 weeks and 130 games to talk about. Hopefully it sparks some conversation, and of course plenty of memories.

Our first series will focus on Sony’s first entry into the console business, the PlayStation.

Let’s continue with the letter “D”.

Wooo they gots Die Hard Trilogy in there! :D. good list. how about Dave Mirra BMX or Driver.

TeamLeaptrade3315d ago

Had such a great time with Driver. Great game!

PoSTedUP3315d ago (Edited 3315d ago )

i remember i was obsessed with car damage for as long as i can remember (even use to smash up my Matchbox with a hammer. and yes, i still do). and the first time i saw that hood crumple up, heard the sound of the impact and saw debris fly everywhere, i was amazed and hooked by how realistic it seemed. it was good for the GBA too; that was a dream come true before GTA for PSP was even a thought.

Crummybear3315d ago

This is such an awesome idea! I forgot all about the Die Hard game. I also played the hell out of Destruction Derby 2. Those old car physics were awesome. You forgot one game that NEEDS to be on this list though.....DRIVER!

WizzroSupreme3315d ago

Playstation was my favorite system for its first two generations and man, what an awesome exclusive library. Spyro, Castlevania, Crash, what a fun system.

Dangiroud3315d ago

maniacmayhem3637d ago (Edited 3637d ago )

This game was the absolute best! I remember playing this game and having the best time. They don't make 'em like this anymore I tell you that.

Edit:
I think the mode I enjoyed most was Die Hard 2.

:(

I am too...I need to stop calling myself out.

GhostTurtle3637d ago (Edited 3637d ago )

Oh yeah! Spent a ton of time with this with a friend of mine growing up. DH1 had some really fun cheats.

chrissx3637d ago

Yipikayee! Was an awesome trilogy

SolidDuck3637d ago
