You know, if this is done correctly - it will be fantastic. Some of the Dynasty Warrior games haven't been that good, but none of them have had Nintendo's guiding hand.

You overestimate Nintendo. Nintendo's guiding hand is only good when they are making the game, and Zelda isn't their biggest name, Mario is.

Anyway, some of you are absolutely nuts, this game looks incredible and I personally feel that this is what Link should have always been as a warrior. It's about time he has a more action oriented game.

This is a game I'd buy the Wii U for, and up until now I've had no interest in the Wii U.

Seriously this will actually show the people who beg Nintendo to stop making hardware what kind of quality they can expect.

My guess is most of the resources Nintendo have on the franchise is going to the new one and this will be an overseen project. Nothing more.

I really have to laugh at the irony of this situation. How many people blast Tecmo Koei of doing the same thing with the Warriors franchise over and over, yet want Nintendo to stick to the same thing over and over with Zelda.

Here is a fresh new way of looking at the Zelda IP and instead of embracing it, people want to blast it because it ISN'T more of the same and yet at the same time it IS more of the same depending on which company you want to hate on.

Too many gamers have ridiculous, unrealistic standards and expectations.

Big N let Tecmo do OTHER M and it was a really mediocre game. I am not saying this won't be fun, but it looks stupid. I assume the catch is multiplayer or co-op of some sort? I'd personally rather have another FOUR SWORDS. Not hating, just not impressed from this initial reveal. This isn't the Wii U Zelda we expected.

But of course outsourcing means that they have less control over quality and the product itself, and this one seems soooo wrong.

Personally, I don't mind Nintendo changing things up (and I certainly see the irony you're referring to in some comments around here), but I just have never really been a fan of the Dynasty Warriors franchise. They've always struck me as boring and repetitive...and this is coming from a guy that still likes to play through classic arcade beat-em ups.

It seems like such an odd pairing given how niche Dynasty Warriors is and how NOT niche the Legend of Zelda is. I felt the same way about Metroid Other M. I had no problem with them trying to change some things up, but like so many of their decisions these days, the direction they chose to go with it didn't make a lick of damn sense.

We all know it won't be CDi-bad. It's probably gonna be mediocre to just good, but not amazing.

For people who are in doubt, there will not be puzzles as a focus in this game. It's pure big-scale combat all the way and it'll probably be more like a fighting game in terms of levels and not a seamless open world.

I do hope graphics for Zelda Wii U are gonna be a great load better than this though. Look at the area geomitry... and those textures... so dull!

Looks like Dynasty warriors which i guess shows that tecmo koei is working on it. I like the look of it and its more games for wii u fans from a proper dev team . Ive always imagined about a zelda game where link is walking around in hyrule which looks like the elder scrolls game especially skyrim

Dynasty Warriors has never been known for graphics. This game is the same. The reasoning is they try and push A LOT of characters on screen.

As long as it doesnt become the main Zelda title, it will be totally fine. Nintendo liks to use their characters, for a lot of different games, they do it with Mario very well, why not some Link action. Of course there will be hater again, who try to tell us, that Nintendo is overusing the Link and that this is 1 of the next years Zelda games, like they are doing it with mario, even though it is BS, but ok.

Will it do well here? Probably not. Will it sell systems in Japan? Abso-freaking-lutely. The Basara/Warriors series do so well there, and this merger makes possibly even more sense than the Fire Emblem/SMT crossover.

And this really isn't hurting anyone except possibly the Gundam series' fans, which may get a delay on their next game in the series. Tecmo Koei's doing this, not Nintendo, and certainly not EAD. They probably have a few art guys telecommuting.

For me, this is a game I'd buy if I had a WiiU. I wouldn't buy a WiiU for it - don't wait until E3 to announce that stuff, Nintendo - but it's nice. They're a little more flexible with their IP.

Looks interesting and worth a try. I like that they had the boss from OoT in it. If they keep solely source material from Zelda games I will be happy. Its not an adventure but not a bad surprise.

As for people saying its not made by Nintendo. There are a ton of games using their IPs and not made by Nintendo.

They are usually quality games just not classic Nintendo material.

Few examples being both Star Fox games on GameCube and FZero GX.

The graphics can be better and those drone enemies should actually attack instead of waiting to be hit. I'm feelin the more actiony Link here but it can use some improvements. More than likely its not anywhere near the final representation of the game.

I liked this Nintendo Direct for two reasons.

1. This ND had a few games that I'm interested in and one that I'm getting today, Sports Club Golf.

2. To me they are wrapping up the first wave of 1st Party titles, which should now open the way a second wave of 1st party titles to be announced at E3 2014 (ie. F-Zero, Starfox, a possible port of the new Star Wars Squadron title maybe..)
to go along with next years Holiday Buster Zelda Wii U and X.

My personal WishList; I would love for Nintendo to remake Gundam Side Stories from the Sega Dreamcast for the Wii U. Controlling the team with the gamepad and Online play, That would...ooooohhhh Kill'em.

Last note, I need to See Red Steel 3 and No More Heroes 3 on the Wii U.

Why do we need blood, gore, intense language, and sexual content? That's what makes an M rated game. That's the criteria for an M rated game.

Zelda should never be anything pass T for teen. The series doesn't need sex, gore, and f bombs being dropped every 5 minutes.

Metroid doesn't need that either. That would completely ruin both franchises.

Why won t they give some dates or at least aprox dates for releases on any of these games? I already have a Wii u so I don t have much of a choice- I have to wait till Nintendo releases the games whenever that may be- but people that are considering a Wii U purchase do have a choice- Even if they loved everything they saw in this direct, there is still ZERO urgency for them to go buy a Wii U now or next week or next month- Other than DKTF and Wii Fit U (if they are not delayed again), the potential release window for all of these games is over 1 year-

So if I am in the market for a Wii U I would just wait like most will.

Come on, graphically the game looks good. This is a youtube video so the quality is crap. The screen shots look damn good tho. And the battlefields in Warriors' games are freaking huge so there will be tons of exploration for items and other lil secrets. If this sticks to the zelda world there are so many potential players and easter eggs. As a zelda fan how can you not be excited for this? This finally makes link look like the badass he really is. Plus there will be level ups which is always a huge plus for me. Ill be getting this day one for sure.
