There are plenty of stages in Mario Kart Wii; to be exact there are 32 stages. 16 stages are new ones and the others are retro tracks updated to fit the Wii. The new stages are, for the most part, a ton of fun to play. Some of the retro stages have unfortunately aged for the worst and are not as fun as the new stages. Nintendo should have put more work into the retro stages so playability, not nostalgia, would be the biggest factor in the retro stages.
