I am in the beta and if things do not change in it no it will not be the next big thing... for them..

The game is pretty good well polished beyond any other beta I have played and the game presents it self well the attention to detail is impeccable compared to most games the little details and little extras put other games to shame...

Lots of pluses for this game... The look the gameplay and controls and ease of use and I can go on and on about how awesome this game is..

The one problem is this a glaring one once you have played a while...

There is a grain to the game... you must grained your way up... not a huge problem... The glaring problem is this...

When you play a ranked game the match making is excellent... You play someone that is very close to your skill level and can maintain a pretty good ratio of wins lots...

Now there is an Arena part to this game. Where you pay really money or in game gold that you have grained to get. Which is not that much of problem with the rail quests worked in there to help you earn in game gold...

the problem is the match making in the Arena... IT is a BATTLE just to get 3 wins.. see the way it works is like this... You play till you lose three times... and the more wins you get the better the prizes you get..

I have played a ton of this game.. and it is clear to me that I am pretty damn good in Matched ranked games... but come arena games... the game will hand you your ass even though you are playing real people... going 0 and 12 is not good... You would expect the ratio of arena games to be a little lower then that of matched game since blizzard want to make money..

but the difference between Matched ranked players and ranked players in Arena is way way to far apart...

Maybe it will work better when there is a larger pool but... It is so disappointing playing... To lose so much in one mode only to be doing so well at the other...

First going into this I thought the smart money was to buy into the arena... it is not... smart money is to buy booster packs and play just matched games... it is more fair it seems.. you will still lose in match it is not that easy but you will win some games... and games are much closer... there is no routings in Matched play... in Arena... it seems to be very clear if you are going to win a match or not...

Arena games for the most part are never close games... when you lose you lose big and often..

It is a damn shame because on the face value this game is easily BETTER then Magic the gathering and I have been a magic the gathering fan from the start... No other CCG has come close to MTG this game passes it.. in every way but being Fair in match making specially when you are paying for it... you lose and often...

With stats being so lacking and not showing anything to compare between arena wins and losses and match making ranked games wins and losses.. it would be good for players to write down your wins losses and you will see that you win so much more in matched games then you do in Arena...
