Having Trouble Redeeming PSN Codes On PlayStation 4? Redeem On PS3/Vita, Carries Over All Devices

Yesterday Sony suspended code redemption for the PlayStation 4 as many were facing PSN issues such as cannot log in, due to high traffic on the server. Sony suspended the service in order to stabilize the PSN network and not cause the code redemption end in a failure and the lost of code.

Sadly PS+ codes can only be redeemed on a console. For other codes, yes you can use the PSN store website to redeem the codes.

I used my one month PS plus trial. I tried out the 7 day trials that came with COD and BF. Those didn't work. I guess the trials don't stack or something.

Man this is so annoying Im trying to use my code for a day now. I sold my PS3 so that is not an option. I want to play some Resogun dammit.

It's not in the box. When u go to playstation store, doesn't it say about a 14 day free trial?

you dont even have a playstation
you would have known that you cant redeem ps plus on the computer

Worked fine with my PS3 and a friend's Vita. Also reports are coming that it is working for people.

check your code and make sure you are putting in the correc spot then cus I used my code on my ps3 as well.

It doesn't work on my PS3 either. All it says is "An error has occurred". I tried typing in the code every way that made sense too-caps, dashes/no-dashes. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

My friend couldn't redeem his Bf upgrade code at all yesterday. We tried everywhere.

Me as well. Maybe server for our area is dead at the moment. Hopefully its fixed soon. I expect it to be some type of issue with server capacity. Shouldn't take more than a couple of days up to a week at most to fix. I hope.

Had the problem yesterday tried to redeem PS+ code and i couldn't i got error code 800..... so i tried couple more time and it worked

I was trying my year sub on the PS4 yesterday and wasnt working so i did it on my PS3 with no problem

I tried to redeem a 20 dollar voucher on the ps4.
back to dashboard after confirmation.
When I tried to enter the code on a pc the system said:

'The Prepaid Card code you entered is incorrect or is no longer valid'

Very nice and more than annoying. The ps4 practically stole my money. Thank you Sony

All you have to do to check is click on 'what new' if nothing happens then that and redeem code are still disabled.

Very poor show Sony, I also have a 365 day psn+ that I can't use, it would be nice to actually download resogun and contrast.

Use the free trial on ps store

Make sure you go to redeem code through "account management" - not through the ps store. This is how I did it. And then I downloaded Dragon's Dogma on the PS3 and then Resogun on the PS4.

I still cant redeem it on my psvita. Ive been trying to redeem my ps+ and my $50 psn card but nothing. Gives me an error code on the vita and on my ps4 it takes me back home. I love playstation but it seems they always have an excuse for an interuption... And its seems like there always is

...and BTW its working again, I just redeemed my 1 yr PS+ and other assorted codes all OK without issue

Not mine, I can't even use that 7-day trial of PS Plus that was included in my copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall and even my 30 days of music unlimited. I guess they're still sorting out some issues.

@shadowghost...yeah the 7 day didnt work for me but the 30 day PS+ worked that came with my PS4, did you go in through the acct mgmt or through the store? I went in through the acct mgmt section on my PS3...

I went to the store on the PS4, but got booted back to the home screen. I don't know what's going on. Hope they get it sorted out quickly.
