The PS4 is already selling out at UK retailers

The PS4 officially went on sale today in the UK but you might have trouble finding one in stock as retailers are already selling out of launch day consoles. At the moment Amazon, Game and Currys have run out.

The PS4 is primed to be one of the greatest consoles, if not THE greatest console of all time.

i think yes. maybe a bit less or a bit more. the HDD and online gaming could give ps4 much longer life cycle than ps2 did.

i have one question though, will i be able to play ps4 games online for free or PS+ is required to play online multiplayer?

Good luck with that Tom, I went out this morning in search of one went into HMV and asked an assistant if there was any, more in hope than expectation, imagine my surprise when he said yes, he went on to say they are behind the counter I joined the que but got to the counter to find out he was mistaken and all those boxes staring at me were pre orders, apparently they had 3 available to buy earlier but were all sold, searched the shops nothing Maplins said they had xbone that was as close as I got to next gen.

Game had a que outside which I was not interested in joining came home daughter looked on the internet no joy,Oh well Merry Christmas for those that have managed to get a PS4 I suppose.

I was literally 15-20 seconds late for mine at a store in Denmark (they didn't take preorders). Got permission to take 2 hours off at work, and come back to finish later.

When I got to the store, I saw the manager standing with reservation notes. I started to run (about a 30 meter aisle), and then, about 20 meters before I got there, a young guy got the last preorder slip. He was #63. I guess they only had a 6-bit counter.

That kinda makes me the 7th bit - which would be the sign bit (in a 7-bit byte ;o)... Me feeling VERY negative, makes this theory solid ;)

the dashboard is awsome and the games are so good grapically and smooth,audio is also amazing(gotta love dts)

I was promised a day 1 console with my local GAME branch however they cancelled the midnight launch last night due to no delivery and today i have been told i will have to wait upto 3 weeks as they only got 20 consoles delivered.

I have been all over today in search of one however nowhere and i mean nowhere has them, i even travelled to another city in hope of one but NOTHING!

Angry at GAME, sad that im not able to game next gen yet

The Sainsburys near my office was selling them on a 1st come 1st served basis regardless of pre-orders! Fortunately I got the last one in the store (that I had pre-ordered) needless to say there will be some pissed off people when they realise they can't pick up what they ordered.
The only downside is I'm at work.....and its currently sat under my desk......calling to me to go home early!

My friends in Poland says that in every shop there were a 40-70 people in queue and only 30-40 of thet got PS4. It's crazy!

Sold out everywhere in Holland too. I live downtown and there's about 15 stores closeby that sell games and consoles, not one PS4 left for sale after pre-orders. And I never pre-order. Just finished my walk, quit after about 10 stores...sooo depressing:(

Got my PS4 from a Sainsbury's in Sheffield. It was a really pleasant experience. Got there 30 minutes before they opened, there were about 5 of us that formed a queue. People kept showing up after though so I'm glad I got there early.
Walked up to a special PS4 zone, told them what I wanted, paid and left.

I got their 6th PS4 but by the time I'd got to the exit they'd sold out. I heard they had 15 non preorders, 4 consoles on their own and 11 bundles for £389.

I imagine if Sony supplied them, PS4 is going to sell a few hundred thousand in the UK easily.
