One Piece: Romance Dawn is a game with a lot of potential, but feels like a missed opportunity. The pieces - comic/manga cutscenes, anime cutscenes, and a neat battle and crafting system, all sound like a recipe for success. But instead, we have a game that is mediocre, with flaws in all of them. If you are a hardcore fan of One Piece, you could do worse. And honestly, the game isn't all bad. But the Nintendo 3DS' library is so fantastic, there are so many better ways to spend your time than this game.

Save/Continue writes: No nonsense here. One Piece: Romance Dawn is a $40 piece of garbage. There is absolutely nothing engaging or likable or even moderately fun about Namco Bandai‘s latest entry into the One Piece series of game adaptations.

This is a kids game right? Because its sounding like it could make for a good AO rated title.
Yeah all the expectations, except for actual romance and character development cause the creator is 12 and thinks it's icky and coodies will get you.
I like how not-subtle Japanese marketing companies are with just about everything that is anime nowadays. They sure like cockteasing. It's basically a hentai-cover at this point but the game seems to be nothing like it. I guess that's the Japanese equivalent of the generic "Protagonist bad-ass posing with war in the background" kind of cover that appeals to mainstream audiences.
So mainstream japanese people want something that's overly suggestive... dunno, it's just weird to me. Hate to generalize but Japanese people creep me out. I just don't understand their culture.
Too bad this game is pegged as one of the worse OP games. I wish they would have brought over Unlimited World R instead.
