Features Games Should be Required to Have

From Gaming Today: "It irritates me to no end to go pick up a new game, assume something about the game and then come to find out that a blatantly obvious feature or option is nowhere to be seen. I asked for feedback from readers and friends, and I've come up with my own Bill of Rights. It's not necessarily focused on features that have to be included, but more often functionality and design choices in games."

Well I don't agree with all his ideas I do think that they are a great starting point for game design discussions. So Approved!

1.) let me save when i want. if i gotta sh1t i don't wanna go find a savepoint.
2.) let me skip your damn stupid ingame movies...
---- 2a.) checkpoints AFTER stupid ingame boss fight movie.
---- 2b.) render the damn movies in engine, i don't wanna wait for that crap to load.
---- 2c.) if u need 50 cutscenes to tell a story, go make a movie and stay away from my games.
3.) automatic adaptive difficulty. if i play better/worse the bad guys get better/worse.
4.) no damn invisible walls. why put a pretty tree over there if i can't go walk to it and blow it up?
5.) if i hit a tree with a rocket it gets blown-the-fvck-up. period.

Your list is better because what you listed, is some of the most annoying things that some devs still don't do till this day.

The one that ticks me off the most, is not being able to skip a ingame movie/cutscene when you die right after it plays. This results in most cases, watching the same scene play over and over. Second, is not being able to save after said cutscene has finish being played.

specially if you've already seen the cutscene at least once already, even if you have to restart the level.

some of the other things I would like to see.

1.Some form of ranking system in games, specially in online competitive play. I remember when I first started to play cs and I would get rocked so quickly.

2.Some form of interactivity to the game, be it a photo mode to share moments of pwnage, or something like the full fledged theater and forge in halo 3.

3. a singleplayer campaign of some kind. I'm looking at you warhawk and shadow run, even if it's just a tutorial for the controls. Phantom dust did great with what it had.

4. When making a game for the pc and consoles, don't dumb down the PC version only for the consoles if you don't have to.

5. quit focus testing. Developers need to make a game that the players want but don't know they want. Not a halo, gta, ff, etc. clone.

I defiantly agree with, “Let us swim. Water shouldn’t be a toxic substance that kills characters upon touching it.” for some reason I find it really annoying when my super highly trained killer, that can doge bullets, cant swim (even I can swim)

Only thing I would like to add is, no more weapons disappearing when you put them in your inventory, they (the weapons) should always be a visible part of the character’s appearance (with silencers *giggles*).

Helldivers 2 Star Wars Mod Looks Pretty Insane

Star Wars is coming to Helldivers 2, unofficially that is, as a new mod revamps in-game models and sends players to a galaxy far, far, away.

Would It Have Even Mattered If Redfall Were Good?

Even if Redfall were a good game, the closure of Hi-Fi Rush proves even that doesn't matter in the industry.

Yeah it would have mattered especially since their huge game that year wasn't all that it was cracked up to be remember redfail was almost heavily promoted and hyped not to the level of starfield but still more promoted than the average game.

There was still a decent marketing campaign behind the game I'm sure millions were spent advertising it on websites and I saw a few billboards and bus stop signs in real life

No it wouldn’t matter it wouldn’t bring in enough profit to offset their 100 billion dollar acquisition. It would maybe delay the inevitable by some months.

I would f*cking think so. Good games are what draws people to your platform. It’s why I adored the 360 era with Gears of War being one of the highlights for me. You make sh*t games and it just makes your platform that much worse and you start gobbling up studios I like and then killing them off it also makes me hate your platform as well… just sayin’

Unless the game would’ve been War Zone, or Fortnite level. No. Maybe even Hell divers 2 I doubt would’ve been enough.
