Terraria Available For Purchase in Stores at UK Retailer Grainger Games

Grainger Games is the only UK retailer who are currently stocking hard copies of the indie title Terraria.

It's by no means an indie title. How could a video game "journalist" not know who developed this?

If a one man dev team is anything but indie, I dont know what Indie is. 505 just ported it. How could a N4G comment troll (not even gunna put quotation marks), not know his facts?

From the Terraria dev team page:

Andrew "Redigit" Spinks is an avid gamer who has always aspired to create his own game, and eventually his own game studio. To that end, he began by teaching himself how to code. First with Visual Basic, and then onto the much more powerful C#. He decided it was time to have a crack at making the game of his dreams, and here it is!

It IS an indie title. Lol, how isn't it an indie title, please do tell Rockefellow?

Rockefellow3840d ago

Whoops, I could of sworn this said "Tearaway." I guess I shouldn't be browsing N4G while driving, sorry guys.

Should have gone to specsavers lol

Still waiting on that Vita version

It's a great game, but I wouldn't be laying 15 quid down on it, that's a high price. £5-8 would be a fair sum to put down for it. £15 is a little greedy.

LaFleur3840d ago

This is the first I've heard of it. I never keep up with Indie news which is very bad on my part. Would you recommend it? If I can find it at a better price?

DoctorJones3840d ago

I would recommend it, it is an excellent game.

But it does take a bit of investment in your time to get the most out of it, it's not a game to play for instant gratification.

If you enjoy creating and discovering in games then it is very much for you, and you will find time flies by.

Terraria is an awesome game. It's a little slow to start but once you get a hang of it, it's extremely fun. If you have the chance, buy it on PC, it has the most development focus, with the console version coming after, because another company ports the updates for it. Console Terraria though has local co-op.

Looks like I'm picking it up then. Cheers.

This is not what I would call value for money spent. They give you quests in liveservice games to get you "re-engaged" with the monetization schemes or to get you hooked or so you at least spend some extra on skins and loot boxes. Then they dole out paltry points after you have already paid extra for whichever liveservice within a liveservice that you are already paying for. My worry is people can't actually be that stupid to fall for this, can they?

littletad656d ago

Absolutely nothing in this comment makes sense. At all.

anast655d ago (Edited 655d ago )

How does it not make sense? O thy god of reason, shine some evidence upon us. Ryse of Rome, ESO,and AC: Origins are all live service games, between them you can get 275 points. Liveservice games are made to keep people spending. Therefore, Gamepass is a live service and the points are for playing live service games.

It is not my problem that this does not make sense to you, it is absolutely your problem. I mean it is all your problem.

Hate Xbox but comments in every Xbox article 😂 without making sense smh

Bring the evidence and then your emoji might make sense.
