Well its been a big week for Sci-fi games. Pandora released yesterday and now X Rebirth has continued the X series and should prove that Kickstarter is not the only way to create space based games.
A remake of X Rebirth: Home of Light for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift has been released into Early Access.
EGOSOFT has announced that the Birth of Light expansion and the 4.0 update will be launched for their spaceship sim X Rebirth this coming February 2016. Preorders for the expansion are now available as well.
GG3 writes: "Grand space sci-fi game, X Rebirth, has announced a permanent price drop. Additionally, as the game moves to update 3.50, a free-to-play weekend for that iteration, as well as the entire X series, will be held on March 13 to March 15, 2015 on Steam."

This one is "streamlined", abradley... wich means the menus are a little clearer, probably.
But I heard they pulled a RomeTW2 again, and it is recommended to wait a while until the patches arrive.
Finally I'm Playing it!
No crashes so far but then again I'm not using a realtek audio chip either. Mine is disabled due to Discrete Soundcard.
I have no solid opinion of the new menus except that it's NOT so micro-managed like X-3 which is good.
I'm having fun a few bugs/glitches nothing new on a non-patched PC game but I will post any crashes.
Steam forums has some fixes already
Sadly it is unplayable for me. I am having severe performance issues. I have no idea why but I am not the only one. Really disappointed as I was looking forward to this as I love the X series.
