PS4 version use Bokeh DOF and HBAO. But this is racing game. NFS is not so graphically demanding and this is odd why XO version doesn't have Bokeh DOF and HBAO ( cough, cough...not enough power, cough... )

I can see some of the differences. It looks like some of the blur effects were left out of the X1 version as well (notice right when the yellow car pops up and some of the dust kicked up by the police car. In addition there a some reflection differences(police car window during drift), lighting differences (police car license plate), and draw detail differences (trees in the distance when the police car is on the curved road). But aside from that, it seems they got the game running pretty fluid and both versions are using the same texture maps. Obviously, one has to be dumbed down as it is simply technically impossible to achieve equal performance numbers on two different sets of hardware exhibiting different power, but I do applaud the developer for setting the benchmark in terms of multiplatform racing for now equally on both systems.

Eurogamer mentioned the shading was more detailed in the x1 version so your opinion is moot.

There's something very strange about that framerate test video. Watch it closely from far right until it transfers over to the PS4 version. Notice something? Everything on the X1 version just continues onto the PS4 version as if it's 'really' just one continuous line. Pick a noticeable blip on the far right and follow it across the screen! I'm very very suspicious. How can that possibly happen? The blips should just stop at the line between the two and the PS4 version should have it's own unique blips.

For the person who disagrees, watch the first 4 blips at the top and then 4 blips at the bottom that appear on the X1 version and then follow them along until they pass into the PS4 version. It does that with every single blip. That's IMPOSSIBLE. There would be slight differences even if you used the same car on the same corner on ONE version of the game.

That's just from one framerate test stretched across the two versions, and not two separate readings.

I've just checked a lot of their other framerate comparisons and they all do the same thing. How can that be? The line on the left should be completely different to the line on the right and not just be a continuation of it.

Glad to see that both versions are for the most part identical. A small difference between the HBAO on the PS4 and SSAO on the XB1. Nowhere near significant at all to sway one way or the other. They both look gorgeous and XB1 owners and PS4 owners will be happy that they have such a good looking racing game to play.

real talk though man i would honestly say this game is not much of an upgrade over the ps3/360 versions. the game doesnt even look that much better than the previous game on 360 and ps3 (i forgot what that ones called).

not saying that the game looks bad by any means. just saying the visuals definitely dont blow your mind.

Other than HBAO and SSAO plus the missing shadows in one version they are pretty close. Don't really trust Eurogamer and the like(IGN)

Jesus? IGN's COD videos were pixel counted to be 720P on PS4 then after they were caught being fooled or not telling the truth they said the had the 1080p version. Eurogamer needing to be corrected in their articles by the devs themselves and you reply to me saying *jesus* ? LOL

buddy we know in future almost all games will look almost same but it's early stage of development ,yeah it can be truth that ps4 is more easy to develop but there can also be problomes in xb1 dev kit as reported by many dev's but we must not deny the fact that cod ghost looks far better on ps4 ,yeah this game looks same on both system ,wether bf4 is having better resolution ps4 900p but looks almost same on both ,but is told xb1 is having better graphics ,but i dont care that much games will have better graphics,resolutions and settins will become will become same with time ,we must not care about it .but play games not becoming the pr of companies.
dont wory you will also play games at same level as other people will they on their consoles wether its xb1 or ps4.

You've got to simply love DF. They've answered the one point I had with this game which was the frame rate drop on fast cornering which I found odd. Now I know what it is and that it's going to be present in the final game. I won't be picking it up because it bugs the shit out of me.

Based on the Youtube vid up there & on my crappy monitor, the PS4 version looks slightly sharper.

Look at the close up of the car at 1:00.

Comparison aside, I was pretty surprised when they broke through the fence, I thought it was going to be similar to other racers.

I hope 3rd party is able to make use of PS4s power to the max without M$ bs contracts holding it back from being better.. 1st party software will be so damn sexy.. Hell, they already are but i cant wait to play infamous.. The launch line up wasnt too strong exclusive wise but im happy w KZ, BF4, & AC4.. & all the free games from being a ps plus member makes my little collection even bigger.. Driveclub is the nx freebie from ps plus when it comes around.. I hope its good & puts all the other racing sims to shame.. I might have to get this NFS cuz i see great reviews everywhere

Crazy how things have turned. ps4 games will allways look better. Stick to last gen if you want better 360 games.
