2K needs to give Madden some competition, they have gotten complacent and lazy. When does their contract expire?

It expired in 2013. No word on a renewal....yet. However, NCAA pretty much cut ties with EA, so it might be possible the NFL does too.

If you think about it, if EA doesn't renew - It would take maybe 2-3 years for a decent competitor to compete with Madden as they will have to build from the ground up and not copy&paste like EA.

It might be wise for EA to save the cash on the exclusivity and just keep a open-ended deal with NFL. Perhaps the money towards the NFL exclusive contract can go to polishing up the game?

If anyone can give EA competition in a short time it 2K.
I always thought they made the best sports games period.
They really only need to make a basic football game for the first year. EA knows how good 2K is so they would need to step up there game even if the next 2K football game sucked. I would def buy it.
I would also go as far to say that the 2K series tend to add more value every year then madden.

Madden is better because its less arcady and this "reviewer" hates it because he cant just run for 99 yard tds every game. Im glad they changed it, i was able to play as cj2k and break the nfl rushing and td title by getting over 3k yards on all pro on current gen. Also the reviewer sounds like hes doing a youtube rant not reviewing a game. In my opinion making the game more realistic its a good thing. If i wanted a crazy arcade game id play blitz.

I bought it on PS4 and really liked it. I like smarter A.I. and more challenge. Presentation is a little deeper than last gen.
