Capcom’s upcoming hack-and-slash video game by the name of “Sengoku Basara 4″ has recently received two brand new trailers. One of the trailers shows off the animation for the game, while the other gives a first glimpse of the forthcoming DLC costumes. The limited edition of the video game will come with a code for a special Masamune Date costume. Mitsunari Ishida will be getting Vergil’s costume from “Devil May Cry”, Sakon Shima will receive a twin sword kung-fu outfit, and Katsuie Shibata will be taking over the look of Nagamasa Azai. That’s not all though as you will be able to buy the Blue Dragon costume for Yukimura Sanada, a Gakuen Basara outfit for Ieyasu Tokugawa, and a gorgeous wedding dress costume for Naotora Li. To see the alternative costumes mentioned above in action, simply watch the second video above.
Capcom has published a special feature detailing the story behind development of the Sengoku Basara series on its investor relations website.
The story is a narrated account featuring series producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi and director Makoto Yamamoto. It details a 2003 Capcom whose business was in dire straits, and who were focusing on sequels to hit titles that would guarantee success. When Kobayashi proposed the idea for a new kind of action game, Capcom was reluctant, but company president Kenzo Tsujimoto gave him the green light. The game’s team was mocked within the company at first, as most believed it to be a game that would never sell, but what ultimately came to fruition was something that the entire company had faith in.
You have already seen Sengoku Basara 4: Sumeragi get costumes from another Capcom series with Resident Evil in our earlier report and this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine reveals the latest is with the Street Fighter IV series.
