The Sony PS4 Makes Its Debut on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

The Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Show shows off the PS4s built in game, "The Playroom".

This episode just cemented the sale of many PS4 Cameras.
It looks fun and Ice-T kicking the little dude into the screen was a system seller in itself. LOL

Fun times ahead, and according to Sony more of these little free games will get released over time. Not sure if they'll be in the playroom or have their own titles though.

The camera seems better than expected, if Sony supports it further with good software I might even use it more than once. I'm still hoping for some AAA PS Move titles.

This just shows that a super advanced camera doesn't mean shit if you don't have the software for it to play games. This little demo of Playroom just showed why PS4 camera is currently superior to the Kinect in terms of games, just because of a free game included in the PS4.

I Can see my family having tons of fun with this.

Not really a fanboy of either system but look up kinect party on youtube, my kids play it all the time and love it, and that was last generation kinect. It kinda makes this look weak.

There will be a free DLC coming up from Double Fine to showcase more stuff with PS Eye. I don't know if it's an extension of the Playroom or something different, but they made great Kinect games so I'm looking forward to it.

That was great , I'm looking forward to picking it up my Preorder @ Midnight.... My daughter is so excited for this game and knack ... She is 5 yrs old and every time she sees this game she goes wild and gets so happy knowing she's going to play it soon. Seeing her face get so happy it pricless

I liked that the PS4 new features; touchpad controller and camera, has included some neat games simple enough for kids. It's doesn't matter if you look silly because it's too much fun.

Most folks would brush off simplistic entertainment as mere gimmicks. I think the toy-like games is a great introduction to the new features to adult players without feeling like it's being forced to have/use.

The biggest issue for kinect as been not having any compelling software to go with it.

MS doesn't have any augmented reality games for the X1 Kinect as far as I'm aware. People love cute stuff and my daughter's gonna fall in love with this.

It'd be awesome if the came out with alternate skins for the robots. That little EyePet monkey would be cute, Kittens or any other small furry animals and those yellow Minions from Despicable me wold fit in here perfectly.

Not every has a reason/desire to play a game like this though so it's nice that the camera is optional rather than a forced peripheral that raises the overall console price for everyone.

hahahaha ,now the gimmicky camera stuff is sooo amazing? I think it's a horrible idea to go on show and show something that doesnt come with the system on top of that t's the weakest point n the playstation arsenal. Next week xbox one will be there and it will pretty blow there minds with the auto sign in and facial mapping with kinect sports rivals,watch and they will be sure to mention it comes with the kinect 100x im sure. how Will it be late to the party when xboxone has been advertising and demonstrating the use of the camera through demos and commercials for months now? Plus, MS has just started showing how it all works through commercials for weeks. Family Guy, it's obvious that the back peddling of people are evident. I want people to give credit where it is due. I completely agree with this statement, MS has some great feature with the X1 and the kinect 2.0 has some really cool abilities too.

I don't agree with the bias thing though.
Of course some people are biased but we ALL just watched this video and most were entertained by the demonstration. If it had been MS on the stage showing this game the reaction would've been the same.
MS gets praised for the things they've done right so I don't think it's some wave of biased brand loyalty going on where "if it's MS, it's bad" is the train of thought. Some people are just not as impressed with MSs camera based games.
People have different opinions and complain about legitimate things. The forced camera which adds extra cost and lack of kinect titles that interest people are all valid complaints. Sure there's tons of people that love Just Dance, will have fun with kinect sports or have an interest in The Fighter Within, but those games don't interest everybody just like everybody isn't interested in The Playroom.

totally missed the point of the post lol,the point is mainstream america loves this gimmicky camera sh*t and when mainstream america sees how much better the kinect is then the playstation camera or the fact how many things the kinect does the ps4 just cant do no matter what,then what? you think they will go with the subpar playstation camera experience? Also,the complaining about kinect being forced in but not having no kinect games is a dumb argument,the kinect is apart of the xbox one's UI now,so no you are not getting dedicated games at launch (althought kinect sports pre season will be free) the point is kinect is a intricate of using the xbox one's UI its not just for gaming,further more its more in tune to do things other than gaming at this point,sony's effort to use voice commands is very laughable though lol and signing in with the camera recognizing you,that doesnt recognize you,which is why you have to tilt your head to log in,it doesnt recognize you it sees someone has titled there head and i logs you in,pathetic,sony just throw the camera idea in the garbage,should of included it with every system,now it will be useless in 2 years while kinect will dominate it
