The majority of console only gamers probably have never heard of the X-Series of games; I bet even a good number of PC gamers haven’t heard of the venerable series. The X-Series has been around since 1999 and is known as one of the best (not that the genre is huge) space/combat/trading simulation games available.
A remake of X Rebirth: Home of Light for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift has been released into Early Access.
EGOSOFT has announced that the Birth of Light expansion and the 4.0 update will be launched for their spaceship sim X Rebirth this coming February 2016. Preorders for the expansion are now available as well.
GG3 writes: "Grand space sci-fi game, X Rebirth, has announced a permanent price drop. Additionally, as the game moves to update 3.50, a free-to-play weekend for that iteration, as well as the entire X series, will be held on March 13 to March 15, 2015 on Steam."
