I thought home was a great idea but it wasnt implemented well. i feel like if they made your dash boot straight to home and made that more or less the dashboard, it would have taken off

Anyone who rips XBL for having too many rude, immature kids talking crap on there needs to be reminded that on Playstation Home, anyone with a female avatar gets harassed big time. There's a HUGE difference between talking BS and acting it out.

Very good point! The only thing that would really keep us from mentioning that would be that it was more of a tech thing than a strictly gaming thing. But yeah, that was a FLOP.

I love these blind Sony fans think the Xbox was such an abomination to this generation. Need I remind them that if weren't for the Xbox's inital selling success, who knows how long Sony would have held on to the ridiculous $600 price-tag or the need and subseqent improvements of the PSN network... not mention PS plus.

Add to this fact RROD is the only one of these 10 items that had a 1 billion price tag. Nothing else came close.

He explains in the article why it's not a flop, but an unfortunate few weeks of bulls*** that in no way compares to 3 or 4 years of failed consoles, the Ouya, motion controls, etc.

The PSN hack cost gamers nothing, but everyone you know is on their second or third 360.

I have never been able to see how motion controls could make for better experiences in games. I just want to hold a controller and hit some buttons. I go to the gym 6 days a goddamn week so I don't have to worry about moving while playing a game.

I feel like RROD was the worst thing that happened last gen followed by the closure of several awesome studios like Zipper and pubs like THQ.

The RRoD cost me $250 on a brand new console and at least $200 on accessories no longer supported by the awesome slim that were necessary for the shi*&y 360 fat.

Losing two unproven studios like 38 and Big Huge was bad but losing Pandemic, Zipper, etc were just plain awful. Meanwhile, megaton floppers like Ninja Theory continues to find work....which leads me to...

Also, a special place should be reserved for the CoD-afying of games and Japan falling off. Namely Capcom and their bulls*** RE6 and the ruining of DMC. While DMC was decent, it failed to match the quality of previous titles...but at least it wasn't the total ass that was RE6. This was the gen that Japan decided to take a nap. Hopefully there's a resurgence and Japan goes back to making creative and genre defining titles like the PS2 era.

The closures aren't as bad as you think. It got rid of the average-bad/copy cat devs. It also opened up room for indies and put bigger spot light on them. All the good devs got swallowed up by big studios or are making some creative indie games.

i never cared for zipper or soccom. but pandemics saboteur will always have that special place in my heart. wish pandemic was around to make a sequel. a true shame ea shut em down. i loved the plot and setting. a great WWII 1940's GTA. and i dont even like GTA
