Battlefield 4: "Duty Calls" - COD: Ghosts Parody Trailer

DSOGaming writes: "A couple of days ago, Activision released a number of live action trailers for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Those trailers were nothing great, therefore we decided to simply skip them. However this COD: Ghosts parody trailer for BF4 - based on those trailers - looks way better than the official ones. I mean, it's really ironic that these live action trailers are more suitable for DICE's title than Infinity Ward's shooter."

ArchangelMike3861d ago

I'm lovin it, yeah the soundtrack is definately pumping, and the live action bits do fit much better with the vibe of Battlefield. I cant wait for next gen BF4! See you guys on the Battlefield,

Glad somebody actually pointed it out. Those COD commercials all have BF elements in them.

Kingthrash3603861d ago

lol clowns cod with a better commercial..lol sold!

Nes_Daze3861d ago

"Tordpedo"! LOL hilarious.

CadeB3861d ago

Quick question guys, I have never played a Battlefield game (I Know, I know)..can I just jump into 4? Or do I need to play the previous ones?

Shadonic3861d ago

you can just jump in, basically you can jump into basically all FPS games at anytime. I would group up with friends because that's when the game really shines brightest when you play as a team.

Oschino19073861d ago (Edited 3861d ago )

Best bet is finding a steady group or clan to play with. Not a hard game but 100x easier to learn and find your best/fav role amongst a competent team who can share knowledge.

Starbucks_Fan3861d ago

Just jump in. It's easy to learn.

Lawndart19813861d ago

Everyone above makes awesome points... take their advice. If you're used to a run and gun stlye of play (I.e. call of duty)... Be prepared to die, alot. Dont get frustrated, its just a different style of play. Find a good team and learn from them

MWong3861d ago

Just get a mic and PTO and you'll do decent.

WeAreLegion3861d ago

You can usually find a solid group of people willing to help you on Battlefield. The best players are the ones who work in teams, as opposed to COD, which is a loner's game.

Mynameisspam13860d ago

Just jump on in. That said, it should be known that BF4 is a slight bit harder (in my opinion) than BF3 so don't worry if you have die a lot. Also, remember this rule:
Use headphones to coordinate with your squad
Also, try to get it for the PC if you can :P I do enjoy it on console but the PC is a decent bit better (not trying to be PC elitist here, I started on console).

elmaton983860d ago (Edited 3860d ago )

I agree but if our friend preference is console, don't get the game on ps3 or 360 since it'll look like crap. Get the game on ps4 or xbone for better looking game or PC if you have a gaming PC.

Funny how everybody 2 years ago was shouting mw2.5 and dogging on cod for being the same and praising bf3 yet here we are in 2013 and battlefield 4 looks exactly the same as battlefield 3 except now with female soldiers but wont start a massive online capaign or riot about it like when mw3 came out. Its interesting to step back and watch from the outside all these years and pay attention to all these little stupid fits and trends you so called "adult" gamers like to start.

Software_Lover3861d ago

..... There are changes in Battlefield 4, especially when it comes to damage in the multiplayer. It's just a more realistic game, even though it's still a game, than Call of Duty.

Call of Duty is just pure fun. Battlefield is fun, chaos, and skill at the same time.

HappyWithOneBubble3861d ago

"Yawns" sorry but your comment is boring.

MethCupcakes3861d ago

*Yawn* No one cares what you think.

Shadonic3861d ago (Edited 3861d ago )

base gameplay is the same but there are new additions and some changes. COD's a bit different in how it handles changes and new things it doesn't add new things most of the time it just changes stuff around. COD Ghost on the other hand has sort of broken that with the new additions of BOT squads and stuff and it did add in small environmental reactions and a plethora of old features that have been in other games that have died out but its still new yea. I enjoy COD at times but i just all around get a funner better experience in battlefield.

TekoIie3861d ago

I disagree on base gameplay being the same. The mechanics have received a perfect level of polish compared to BF3 and while bugs/glitches are there, they're hardly as frequent as they were in BF3.

You can call me biased but I've never looked forward to a shooter this much since COD4 :)

Battlefield 1, Hardline, BF4 Servers Are Being Taken Offline by Cheaters; EA Silent on Issue

Cheaters & hackers have been causing grief on Battlefield 1, Hardline & BF4 servers, with nonstop DDoS attacks among other things. Unfortunately, EA has remained silent about it.

-Foxtrot779d ago

Course they are silent, they are hoping people flock to 2042

gamesftw250778d ago

Maybe it was a inside job then haha.

jeromeface777d ago

wouldnt be the first time, titanfall 1+2 anyone?

PapaBop778d ago

Not even if they paid me.. EA always do this with old games with less money potential, if this was Ultimate Team, they'd address and sort it faster than stories could spread. Why invest time in their products when they will just dump it in the following years? Then again EA never could see the forest for the trees.

Inverno778d ago

I imagine after those games were given out for free a couple months back through Amazon, anything that makes people go to 2042 is a plus for them

XiNatsuDragnel779d ago

They want people to go on 2042. My theory

excaliburps778d ago

Nah. I think they can't do anything about it or they want to sink money into fixing it.

Pudge102888778d ago (Edited 778d ago )

EA owns all BF servers so yes, they can do something about it but they refuse to because they dont want ppl playing their old games instead of the new one. Its EA we’re talking about here

pr33k33778d ago

if this happened in 2042, they'd have something to say. which is weird, considering battlefield 1 has more players on steam right now.

Pudge102888778d ago

Its so obvious that EA is doing this or hired ppl to mess up the games so that we’d be forced to have just 1 Battlefield working.

FPS_D3TH778d ago

Honestly it’s probably the devs themselves. They did an update to bf4 way back that kinda made assault rifles doo doo in hopes that people would flock to BF1 cuz BF4 was too perfect

There's a bunch of great shooters on gamepass; both legacy and new.

A recommendation I have is a work in progress preview title called Anacrusis. It's a lot of fun, and has a cool aesthetic.

All Call of Duty Games Ranked from Worst to Best

BLG writes: "Call of Duty has to be the most recognizable franchise on the planet. They didn’t get that way by only making a handful of games.

COD has a long and storied career. Launching as a PC WW2 first-person shooter, Call of Duty has gone through numerous makeovers and been on just about every system. The series has gone through some serious highs and tragic lows. I’ll be looking at each Call of Duty game, the good the bad, and the ugly."

Vanguard better be at the fkn bottom. Can’t believe ppl haven’t eviscerated that game with all its lacking

Minimoth819d ago

Yeah, it's close to the bottom. There are a couple of worse ones. Infinite Warfare definitely deserves its place.

KyRo819d ago

There's a number a lot worse than Vangaurd. It's also a lot better than that car crash Treyarch released before it.

XbladeTeddy819d ago

World at War is my favourite. Didn't know the N-Gage had a Call of Duty.

MadLad818d ago

Same for me.
I was never huge into Call of Duty, but I sunk a lot of time into WaW.
Both the campaign and the multiplayer are on point. Wouldn't mind a remaster.

I quit on CoD for a long while. Though I'm the odd man out that actually really enjoyed the campaign for WWII, being I got it through Humble monthly way back when.

TheLigX819d ago

I really enjoyed the Infinite campaign. Multiplayer... not so much.

Yppupdam819d ago

I agree, The Infinite campaign feels more like it's own thing that they slapped the CoD name on. If it stood on it's own, (sans the CoD name) I think it could have been it's own scifi franchise. And a damn good looking game, to boot. I never bothered to play the multiplayer.

victorMaje819d ago

MW 2019 apart from the desastrous file sizes is way better than AW.

MadLad818d ago

That was one I grabbed for Playstation because it pretty much just came out during the Redbox purge of videogames, and I got it for dirt cheap.

It was great coming home to an update every night, and watching one game eat up almost half my console's memory.

Amplitude819d ago (Edited 819d ago )

Will get disagrees but Infinite Warfare campaign was really good. Decent story, set pieces were amazing and if it didn't have the CoD game on it I'm sure people would have been more into it. Advanced Warfare was alright too. Titanfall 2 was just 1000 times better than both but I enjoyed them for their campaigns. I literally barely gaf about the story I'm in it for the set pieces and 5 hours of being stoned watching cool nonsense happen if I'm in the mood to play a CoD campaign. If I'm looking for a deep plot I'm gonna go somewhere else.
Ghosts was the worst story-wise though lol that cliffhanger ending was so bs.

Also MW 2019 was sick and is one of the best CoD games in yeeeears not sure why it's so low on this dude's list. Campaign was great, multiplayer was great and Warzone was fun for a while. Over it now but shrugs.

Beat the Vanguard campaign too but I can't even remember a single thing about it other than that it felt like it was 45 minutes long. Might be the most forgettable thing I've ever played lol just fully erased from my brain
