War Thunder Introduces Tank Tech Trees, Shows Impressive Tank Footage

Gaijin Entertainment just released the tech trees for the tanks that will be soon introduced in the PC MMO and PS4 launch title War Thunder. In addition to that, they also published a fairly long video to introduce the same topic.

So many burning wrecks once those fighter bombers get at them. I'm really interested to see how they're going to balance the opposing ground and air (and naval) forces. Can't wait for this - graphically, it looks awesome

They won't! the game is so unbalanced at the moment and has been like that for a while.

Very, very much looking forward to this on PS4 (would also be awesome on PC, I just prefer console for this kind of thing), looks excellent. As fOrlOnhOpe57 says, will be interesting to see how it's balanced, but as long as both sides have fighter cover, it won't be terribly easy to just line the tanks up and mow them down.

Has cross-platform play been announced with PC or am I thinking some other game? Very excited for this as the Playstation platform has never had a good tank sim.

Cross platform has been announced and confirmed, apparently at launch (expect a few niggles early on I'd wager ;)). You're spot on in terms of tank sims - we've had a few arcade attempts, but nothing of any merit. Gaijin are great for detail, and the roster of Soviet and German tanks was right tasty :D.
