The message clearly states that it was deleted in regards to the link provided by PirateThom. Those threads can only be deleted by Admins or Mods. I guess you can qualify that as an error. I'm also running Firefox.

Anyway, it was just a guide, a few people came to the conclusion that it's timing out if you're not fast enough.

Using Firefox and Autoformer add-on means you can take your time to fill in the details and then when you get the error and start again, the details will be there and you only need to click "Next" or "Continue" or whatever the button says, cutting down the time it takes and increasing your chances of reaching the next pages.

Well if they have fixed it, they haven't done a good job because it is still slow to load anything on the site up, and everytime I click on a page, I'll get the typical 'Error' screen.

Sometimes I'll get a page further, but at some point I'll get the 'Error' screen.

I even got to the end of the form, and it said my e-mail address was already on the Konami.ID site already. So I did a Konami.ID restore and entered my e-mail address, but they said it was not on the Konami.ID register.

Konami are not doing a great job are they!? Hopefully they'll extend the beta!

[EDIT] - Finally!!!! It worked. Took a lot of attempts though. Keep trying!!!

Found out today the CE of MGS4 will be AU$169. Ouch! Is the extra stuff worth it. I mean it 50 bucks, and I am paying AU$149 for GTA just for a footlocker and a dufflebag. Autoformer is a god-sent add-on for Firefox.

If you get to the details section, fill out all the forms, then right click in one of the boxes, and click autoformer > save all, so then you can just click through repeatedly at a fast pace if you have to try again.

On my 2nd try using autoformer, I got registered!

follow these steps and if u fail be patient and try agen
* You need Firefox
* Goto Tools Add ons, Get Extensions
* Find the AutoFormer add on and install it and restart the browser
* goto https://id.konami.net and click register (Blue button on the left) - might take a while but keep trying
* Enter your date of birth and go to edit in Firefox menu and find AutoFormer, click Save all fields - this will now save you entering the DOB again if you need to come back to this stage
* click next
* Wait until the terms show before clicking next again
* fill out the entire form carefully, don't rush you have all the time in the world. Make sure you don't use capitals in username, and make sure game id password is all numbers. Make sure phone number and postcode have no spaces
* now before clicking next click edit again and AutoFormer>save all fields
* Click next, it'll probably fail due to time taken to complete the form. Don't worry
* Start again, this time your DOB should be auto inserted click next to terms, click next to form, click next to confirmation click next and you're done - SIMPLE!!!

Install FireFox and AutoFormer plugin and attack the site constantly. Oh, and make sure you have a direct connection to your modem, as some routers (like Linksys) need configuring when dealing with HTTPS sites.

Firefox and AutoFormer are the only way to get through this piece of $hit they call a registration process. The only extra thing I would say is to click on the Enter buttons only once - it seems that when you click them repeatedly the pages take longer to load causing a crash. Be persistent and eventually you should make some progress. Good luck!

Konami have certainly found a way to separate the people who REALLY want to try out this beta, from those who aren't too bothered!! First of all you need to download the first update (which took me 8 hours on p2p) and then you have to go through what can only be described as the worse sign-up process I've ever come across (well, PES2008 was pretty bad too).

Anyone who has managed to sign up since they released the beta download, are either very lucky - or just very patient and really really want to get into this beta and keep trying and trying (like me!).

I'd like to warn those of you who get past the point of registering your details... you need to click a link in your e-mail to confirm your details and accept further t&c's and that takes a good amount of tries and time as well!!

I really hope they abandon this shamble of a process for the full game and whoever came up with the idea is shot on the spot! Or maybe the people who didn't plan ahead to handle this demand!

I thought i was going to have all the slow P2P download of the update like you guys...but it was not the case...

I got my konomi id and game id by going to the site earlier in the week before the site got hammered....so i was good to go there...

I just download the beta from the PSN store (Store was fast by the way) on thursday night...it downloaded in about 20 mins.....

I installed it on friday night after work. It install successfully...i then launched it and it said i had to update to 1.01...do i did...i chose the htpp: download...but it failed...so i said screw it I will go P2P!

It downloaded in less than 1.5 hours with no errors...I started at 8 pm and it was done at 9:30 pm.....

So I am good to go for monday when the beta starts....

Hi everyone, I finally made it through registration :D
I would like 2 thank all U guys for your precious tips
I would also like to remember the essentials about what i did:
Download this:

And this:

Then, go to that horrid page (konami id) and select registration
Fill in the fields, right click, select auto former, and then save all (be sure U do this)
then U'll click on the link and, eventually, it will say that the page has been erased (!), be patient, this will happen a lot :|
then restart the process and U'll see that the fields are already filled with the info U gave previously, so just scroll down (do it fast) and click on the "next" link
Now repeat this step for the other 3 (?) pages of the registration process and U're done!
