In this hands on preview, Dave lets us know whether the most anticipated game of 2014, Titanfall, is really worth all the hype.
Titanfall is coming up fast on the preorders too. Almost past knack with 20 weeks to go. Imagine if it was available a over a year ago for preorder like Destiny has been.
About 5 months until Titanfall. I hope the day one games will stop me from thinking about Titanfall.
Leet reviews this year's Eurogamer Expo and explains how to deal with queue-jumpers
I loved the new controller. TBH, when I first picked it up to play Assassins Creed IV, I did not even realise that I was holding a DS4. I was when I wanted to call up the map, and went to push the 'select' button that I realised I was infact holding a DS4.
I had quite a good session with KZ:SF, at the Sony booth. I don't know what sensitivity the game was set to, bit it was very noticable that the dead zone on the DS4 was much smaller than the DS3. The R2 button work excellently, and it is surprising just how comfortable they are to use. Overall definately a much needed improvement over the DS3.
I didn't like the sixaxis. Concave analog sticks were needed for DS4. I don't know if I like it more than the Xb1 controller, but I do like it!
This controller is MAYBE ALMOST as good as the 360 controller, but never the X1.
i am one of those people who has never gotten to grips with the ps controllers in the past.
I owned a ps3 and xbox and I have always preferred the xbox controller. there is no special reason for this. everybody has different hands and for me personally the xbox always felt more natural in my hands.
the new ps4 controller is an amazing step up, especially for shooting games. I got the chance to try it out with warframe and there really is a big difference.
for those of you who are or use to be xbox fans and you are making the switch to a ps4 but maybe you were worried about the controller ( especially the thump stick placement) it really is much better.
it's hard to put a finger on exactly what they have done because looking at it, they are in the same position as past ps pads, but they really do feel a lot better and more comfortable for shooting games etc to the point that you almost would not notice.
thats just my feedback from having some hands on time with them. also the touch pad at the top works really really well.
I just cant agree with people who like the 360 controller more than the ds3, the dead zones were worse on the 360 than ds3, also the sticks were stiffer so you needed more of an effort to move them even the bumpers just seemed too stiff for someone like me who plays very lightly with my hands.
i played both at comic con and the two controllers were pretty identical with the deadzones this time around, but the sticks on the x1 left an imprint on my thumbs like a happy face while the ps4's didnt. thats it, they were both good imo but my hands are still native to dualshock stick placement.
