" Real boxing, while FUN, is a game that ultimately suffers an identity crisis."????????????????? ??????? 65/100?????????
look when will reviewers realalise if a game is fun it should get an auto 70% i mean really games are to be fun....boxing is boxing it costs 9$ its fun it has online play and you give it a 65 because it has useless equipment smh gtfo. the game is fun run it.

65/100 means an above-average game. When compared to the text of his review, seems very fair.

games are fun...no?
the main point of a game is to have fun. i think we all can agree with that. so when you get into things like controls or items not being affective...and not bring strong points like online multiplayer or price. it seems more nit picky.
look i dont really care about the game what rubs me the wrong way is how people (reviewers) are looking at the small things and making it affect thier score more than the larger positives..fun being the biggest thing in gameing.
a game can have literally EVERYTHING right...from graphics to controls to framerate..if the game is not fun its a sh@#ty game. period. reviewers are underminding the fun ness of games that are new but not the old classics like mario...EVERY MARIO GAME IS GRAPHICLLY ugly compared to the newer platformers today...but it soooo fun! and it get rated for its funness. not for the story or voice acting or the fact that it is really the same game since mario64...they add a couple things like yoshi in 3d or waterspouts...but really its just running jumping fighting bowser and saving a princess at the end.but still no points are taken away...why because its FUN.
but look at say killzone mercinary ..the stand alone BEST handheld FPS EVER CREATED and while i see great ratings on the game i see such backward things the say aer bad like "it should have been on next gen consoles" or " killzone 3 for ps3 is better" hell ive seen a review that gave kzm a 6 and said its graphics was a 85...85 is high...but well its the best looking game on a handheld period..no game looks better...i even challange you to find a better looking game from ANY genere on a handheld...and you will see none...what was he compareing graphics to? what 100? hell whats 90? what it is is reviewers are lazy now so many systems, so many games they have to review so they just compare it to older games or a game theyve played before oin consoles not taking into account that its on a inferior handheld compared to consoles nohandheld will compete..they just blurt negative things without taking into consideration of what the system capabilitys are...smh to see such blaintant nit picking is so bad for games that should have better scores.
man i know im ranting but this just rubs me the wrong way. fun is fun peroid and that should go for all games not just classics.

this is a crap iphone fighting game. lets not bring mario into this ok he'd whoop all these guys asses. let alone he is a full scale iconic game.

i hear what youre saying tho.
btw are you prescribed adderall? just wondering..

besides making your own judgement, your best bet is to stick to reviewers you can trust... US (i.e. your fellow gamers.) ; )

yeah any low score given to KZ:M is very unprofessional and just hate imo. but thats by my standards in a review...

buckley3886d ago

Sounds like you just don't like critical game analysis then. You could always start a site that reviews games as either "fun" or "not fun."

Kingthrash3603885d ago

honestly i do like critical game analysis...i dont like when reviewers use it incorrectly or inconsistently.

Pozzle3885d ago (Edited 3885d ago )

I don't know...I think the reviewer was pretty clear on why they only gave it a 65/100. They even said that even though they personally had fun with the game, not everybody is going to enjoy it. Besides the useless equipment, the reviewer also mentions constant grinding, occasional bad animations, difficulty connecting to multiplayer, broken experience mechanic, spamming the same attacks to win, unfair mini games, and so on.

That sounds like a pretty average game to me.

I think you may be the only other person here who actually read the review.

VGChartz's Adam Cartwright: "This is the sixth entry in a series of articles I’m writing that will look at all of the games available in a particular genre on the Vita. The articles will highlight all Vita-native games, as well as any backwards-compatible PSP and PS1 titles that can be downloaded in English (i.e. from the EU or NA stores), and will include some commentary on how well those games run on Vita and whether they fill any missing gaps in the library."
