scarface PS2- extorting drug dealers, selling coke, laundering money, bribing cops, taking over drug businesses, your weapons in the trunk of your car. (friggin love that game!) still play it.

gta vice city stories- building and running your own businesses, different missions for maintaining your business (extorting, defending, convincing to get more clientel etc.)

Scarface was an amazing game and for its time and one of the best looking games I ever played on PS2.

PoSTedUP3879d ago

yeah it was pretty incredible, so badass too, taunting people in alpacchinos voice, walking talking acting just like scarface... have full conversations with pedestrians. i would play it right now if my ps2 controller didnt break a few months back... the ps3 80gig doesnt run it right, like 5 ½ frames a second lol.

Saints Row 4 looks like a fun game, but its zany humour is actually quite off-putting. Look at this, isn't it funny? It's so zany! It's really out there!

I don't like the characters from the Saints Row series and a lot of the humour is quite forced. Comedy isn't based on the sole merit of being wacky, which is why a lot of the humour in Gta is, well, more humourous. And the times when it does get zany it is well done.

I never liked GTA games, maybe its not my cup of tea. But I do give it credit that it sells alot and gives alot of enjoyment to gamers.

I have gamed for many years on MANY platforms, and just like anything there are alot of things done better on certain games vs others but it all comedown to game designing. How well you MIX all the features and game mechanics to make the overall game enjoyable.

Just like movies, you can have a action movie with awesome effects and sound, but crappy story (it can still be enjoyable) vs a intense drama with mystery.

Hell you can have a game with all generic mechnics/puzzles/ graphics/atmosphere and the over package of a game can be much better than a game that just shows off awesome game mechanics.

while, I like being all rounded, I really don't particularly like playing all rounded games.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing6919d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy8519d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
