BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! !!!!!!!!! F*** You Japan for not trying to localize games like Yakuza 5 or FF Type 0 and more.

KonsoruMasuta3890d ago (Edited 3890d ago )

Too bad you couldn't Type O. It was epic.

Why not import?

blackbirdi3890d ago

why not import ? are you kidding most gamers can't speak japanese

Dinoegg_963890d ago

Blame sega and SE, there are still good japanese companies which localize most of their games (ATLUS sadly acquired by sega, Tecmo Koei has localized almost all their Vita games)

Sega: "No plans to release Persona 5 in the Western market"

I hope Atlus was doing localisation throughout development

thehobbyist3890d ago

Sega Sammy bought Atlus. Not Sega. Look them up, they are not Sega.

gamer423890d ago

I jope we don't have this problem for Atlus games.

Inception3889d ago

We will when SEGA saw Persona, SMT, and Atlus games doesn't break a million copies >.<

cleft53890d ago

Now this company owns Atlus, so looking forward to that.

nick3093890d ago

I rather import a game, not understand it, but enjoy it .rather than crying to sega to do something. Sega will never listen. I will have to say deal with it because nothing will change with sega.

DarkHeroZX3889d ago

How can you enjoy something you don't understand? If you don't know what's being said then you can't progress in games like this. If you have to watch play through videos to advance in the game then it takes away from the enjoyment and the feeling of self accomplishment when you finish. You sir are not a real gamer.

I'm so happy Sega bought Atlus. /s

Protagonist3890d ago

I know what you mean!, worst thing that could happen...

Makes me whonder where Sony was in all this...sigh...

Sega: lets buy a gaming company and not release our own games to the western market, cause that makes sense businesswise!!! fools.

thehobbyist3890d ago

*Sega Sammy. Which is not Sega

tiffac0083889d ago

What are you talking about? Sega is Sega Sammy. Sega merged with Sammy remember. How can they be suddenly different?

XboxFun3890d ago

And these guys just acquired Atlus....good luck!

The Great Melon3890d ago (Edited 3890d ago )

I was just about make comment along these lines. I hope Sega Sammy keeps Sega and Atlus more or less separate except when the two want to work together.

Raven7223890d ago

Considering that both Sega and Atlus have made games for all platforms, everyone is gonna need that luck.

solidjun53890d ago

This is the reason why I was concerned about Sega acquiring Atlus. Sega sucks when it comes to localization. >_<

Rikuson13890d ago

They killed Anarchy Reigns because of this that game had an amazing Multiplayer but was killed by sega localize delaying it for 6 months

solidjun53890d ago

They're horrible. Ugh. I wonder if they recognize they have a bad reputation amongst gamers regarding their localization. Surely they realize that they have bad PR when it comes to this. grrr...

TongkatAli3890d ago (Edited 3890d ago )

^
This x whatever Monster Hunter 4 sold.

I'm just going to be diligent and keep supporting Sega and Atlus games. Money talks, you want this game then buy their shit available here, that simple.

Tetsujin3890d ago

My bigger concern is Sega not localizing AND region locking games; that would piss me off to boycott them next.

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken47d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake48d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Jingsing48d ago

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol
