As we sit on the precipice of Grand Theft Auto V’s midnight release, with millions of sales sure to accompany it, Skander Djerbi of I-Friqiya has some sad news about Fuel Overdose, which was released in December 2012 in Europe and March 2013 in North America. - PSLS
As much as we love to read stories (and write them!) about indie success, as it means that the developer is living out the creative dream, there are many more examples of failed investments than there are of runaway successes.
Here's one story about a developer that only managed to sell 600 copies worldwide of a PSN game.
Skander Djerbi from the Fuel Overdose team has announced that Fuel Overdose will be 1.99€ instead of 11.99€. This limited time offer will last until September 18th and is only for the PlayStation®Store.
Starting from today, 4th September 2013, Fuel Overdose for PlayStation 3 will benefit from a very special offer on the PlayStation Store. A limited time price promotion sees the title available for only €1.99, a drop from the usual price of €11.99, which corresponds to an 83% discount.
Ouch
good games sell.
Wow, I never would have thought this was possible. Hopefully they get it up on other platforms to increase sales.
Oh, this game.
I played the demo, thought it was sorta fun
How could a game that critics said "isn’t satisfying in the least" end up also not being interesting enough for people to buy? It's like the game isn't satisfying or something :O
(Also the price should be lower.)
