How Grand Theft Auto Hijacked The Entertainment Industry

Thanks to two English brothers - and with a little help from Max Clifford - Rockstar's 'sick' video game is now a cultural behemoth. As fans line up for a new fix with GTA 5, Tim Martin asks: what went so right?

It encompasses everything about entertainment all in a satirical fashion!

GTA provided gamers with so much to do and explore in a free roam open world sandbox like NEVER before.

Also GTA pretty much has the BEST story and best characters of any game.

Last but not least the Mini Games are fantastic. You will find yourself doing 50 hours of mini games.

Oh and the cherry on top: The Hookers! Picking them up Never gets old.

Crazay3878d ago (Edited 3878d ago )

Further to the hookers, you can enjoy lap dances and interact with the girls during said lap dances. There was one part of the game that I just finished last night that struck me as a surprise that the ESRB allowed. I'm sure that one the mainstream media catches wind of it, it's going to be plastered all over the news.

Let me guess: Happy Ending?

Crazay3877d ago

Uhmmm.... let's say it involves a towel and water... Or a battery... Or pliers...

SolidStoner3879d ago

All people who still comments on GTA5 articles still dont have it... damn.. so am I...

Soon N4G will become a desert!

ufo8mycat3879d ago

Goodbye to COD being the highest selling game.
GTA V will surpass it.

M-M3879d ago

As much as that should happen, it probably won't.

Thatguy-3103879d ago

What made GTA so successful was the act of creating controversy because of what you can do on an open world game. GTA having the BEST story and characters of any game is laughable. Can think of better games with a better story and characters.

boing13878d ago

And yet you didn't name one.

If you say Uncharted, please shoot yourself now.

I think he meant to put can't think

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing696d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos6d ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Demetrius6d ago

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy856d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

Demetrius6d ago

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
