Microsoft is making its Xbox Music streaming service available for free on the Web — even to those who don't use Windows 8.
The expansion beyond Windows 8 devices and Xbox game consoles starting Monday is intended to bring new customers into the software giant's ecosystem of devices and services and could help it compete with other digital music offerings like Pandora, Spotify and iTunes. It's also an acknowledgement that the music service hasn't done much to drive sales of the Windows 8 operating system.
Xbox 360 launched 18 years ago and was a generation-defining console that invited many people to jump into gaming for the first time and connect with friends around the world. We’re thrilled people continue playing their favorite Xbox 360 games on Xbox 360, or on newer consoles via Backward Compatibility for supported titles.
WTMG's Oliver Shellding: "It’s a disheartening game that is tedious, seemingly random and honestly runs so terribly slowly on console. I Am Your President is trying to poke fun at the establishment and probably provide some spoof-esque humor, but the delivery is underbaked, flat and just a slog. For Americans, unless you’re already a zealot about the elephant or the donkey, this isn’t going to ingratiate the political circuit to you any further. If you’re from outside the U.S., I cannot imagine the appeal of this game in any capacity. If it’s something you’re truly curious about, grab it on PC when the price drops, but a Gerald Ford simulator on my Mountain Dew Box is the most assbackwards thing I’ve done this year."
Alchemist: The Potion Monger is available now of PC and consoles, and this review will tell you why it shouldn't be overlooked.
FREE? You feeling well ms? Getting x1 dont bash me xbox fans lol its just weird to see ms doing anything free
This is a good thing keep it up fellas
It's their attempt to attract customers to the service.. Just like Live, basic access is free and all of the better features are behind a paywall..
That's pretty cool. Even if the service is only basic for free users, it's still a good thing.
But if you go to xbox.com they still say it cost money????
