With so many games like Darkout springing up recently, it may be difficult for some gamers to distinguish between them. Darkout can be compared to games such as Terraria and Starbound; the premise is very similar. And if you have played any of the aforementioned games, you will know exactly what you’re in for with Darkout. As a game, Darkout is basically an extension of the games previously mentioned. The real difference is that it includes a streamlined Graphic User Interface (GUI) that offers more flexibility to the user, as well as advanced controls.

Darkout Pixle Judge Review

PJ: "Darkout, the adventure game from indie developers Allgraf, was released on Steam on the 4th of December, which, unfortunately for Allgraf and any other game released on that day, was the same day as the somewhat similar Starbound’s Early Access program began. Starbound took off, selling like yummy bananas, while Darkout hasn't done quite as crazily well. Is Darkout really good enough to justify it being another addition to the increasing crowded genre of mine/build/survive-em-ups - or should we just forget about it altogether?"

"Darkout is survival horror mine and build em’up for the PC. It is basically a combination of Terraria, the movie Pitch Black, and a pinch of Metroid. You play as a character who was jettisoned from their ship and has crashed landed on the planet Illuna, a planet that you had just escaped from.
