They can if they use Mouse/Keyboard, otherwise they will really need to work hard to beat PC players in PVP.

if ps4 players had m/kb they could 100% definitely hold their own

controller vs m/kb, never, the controller players would simply get annihilated

The problem with controllers, is that they need something like Autoaim. Also, you have to move the sight just a few more inches, and inevitably misses that shot against the player.

and they (controllers) take AGES to turn around 180 degrees with, it honestly feels like moving in molasses

m/kb its a split second and you are turned around facing 180 degrees in the opposite direction

and a controller is just way less accurate all around

though a controller is way better for a fighting game, a brawler or a platforming game

and usually when I play a third person game on my pc I use my wireless 360 controller

I always turn auto-aim off as you can never get headshots with it on.

I'm just as accurate with my control pad as I am with the mouse and keyboard the only difference is the turn speed, mouse and keyboard is way faster.

I played UT3 with controller and held my own against m/kb players. So much so that I was kicked out of games. I think it all comes down to the skill of the player with the controls available.

That's illogical and probably couldn't be an average or usual outcome, unless of course the console utilizes some sort of aim assist.

A mouse is just a better input device for precision tracking and snappy reflexes.

Using your whole arm, wrist, and hand gives you much better control than merely one thumb swinging a stick around.

Oh please not this again... I believe we all had tried main KB/M games with a gamepad (and some may had tried the other way around too). Tons of different things will define who's best in a game, the last of 'em is the control method (unless we're talking cheats like turbo controllers, aim bots, etc).

While one side will argue how you can't turn around fast enough with a gamepad, the other camp will clain how you have to constantly re-center... Back the KB/M camp will say their controller is more precise even if slower at that particular moment... And the gamepad guys will say their controller already have everything in reach for quick reaction even if they take more time to turn... And so on...

We all had been there and done that, it's endless, can't everyone simply choose whatever fit their taste better and STFU?

Oh, I would add a side note before ending. If you really think gamepads need auto aim for shooters or that re-center is a big issue with KB/M it means you're not familiar with either control method and should avoid further spreading non-sense. Thank you.

So if you want to play with a controller on the PlayStation 4 against people with a mouse and keyboard, have at it, I don't mind [chuckles]. But you might as well be jumping into a lava pit. PC players are always going to have that advantage.

So they basically did a matchmaking only with controller to make it fair, sounds cool. Obviously mouse user would destroy controller user.
