"Happy Labor Day! Well, for those celebrating. Hopefully, if you had an extended weekend anyways, you got caught up on your backlog because the releases are still coming. Even the Wii U and Vita get retail games this week. I have a lot of games to get to myself, i just needed to pop in and let you know what was coming out this week. Enjoy." -Don
Ubisoft barely have a leg to stand on lately, so do they need to crack open the vaults and return platforming royalty to glory for some goodwill?
We need Rayman 4, they could make a great platformer game if they wanted. With the open hub levels and the like.
Better than relying on Rabbids and Assassins Creed all the time
Yes..but I am sure it won't be the Rayman game fans want. Not from the company that is Ubisoft today.
Ancel is retired from games. His hoodlum/rabbid team are doing their own thing. It would not be the same if Ubisoft did.
Experience points, skill trees to fill up, level gating, endless menial tasks and side quests, constantly scrounging for resources. Always having to upgrade your gear. A.KA. "The Ubisoft effect".
No thanks, don't ruin Rayman's legacy.
Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?
Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
Total War: Rome II launched 10 years ago today, and remains a staple in the grand strategy genre in PC gaming.
Things are out this week that aren't Total War: Rome 2? BLASPHEMY!
Can't wait for tomorrow. Pre-ordered Outlast and I am looking forward to giving it a go. Here's hoping it scares the bejeezus out of me.
Also picking up Rayman Legends on the Wii U today too.
