NZ Gamer - Redshirt is an entirely different kind of a game - imagine Facebook, or rather, ‘Spacebook’ in a fictional sci-fi world, where every ‘like’, friend request and social event influences your life. Not that hard, given that’s pretty much how it works already in the real world. Redshirt is a satirical look at social networking, and it’s quite an innovative game-concept. I got to take the alpha build for a spin and have a play with building up my social network on ‘Spacebook’.
As someone who loves sci-fi and is slightly obsessed by the fast-paced evolving world of social media, Redshirt, developed by Tiniest Shark and Positech Games is a game that utterly fascinated Ben when he first heard about it. What surprised him more is just how much he potentially learnt about himself during his playtime with the title.
