Surprised XCOM isn't getting that much attention.

Though I have yet to play Lords of Shadow, I am excited to check out the sequel.

The only game out of these three that I will not be picking up is Lost Planet 3. I wasn't impressed with the first game and didn't bother with the second. I thought overall sales of Lost Planet 2 were pretty poor, not enough at least to warrant a sequel.

I have to agree with you and say I didn't get the fuss surrounding the original and also rejected the idea of getting 2.

My interest level:

1) Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
2) The Bureau
3) Lost Planet 3

The Bureau would likely be higher but anticipating original LoS release on PC a week after The Bureau comes out and literally seen nothing on LoS 2 that I haven't loved.

I sadly lost a lot of interest in LP after the first and with each release its slowly becoming worse :( The potential was fantastic but just can't warm up to the sequels (coop in 2 was main selling point imo).

My rankings are the same as yours, although mine is more like this:
1) Lords of Shadow 2
2) The Bureau
1035) Lost Planet 3

That game is going to BOMB for Capcom.

Lost Planet 3 - Lost in Time

Lost Planet 3 launched 10 years ago today, with an unusual take for it's time; casting the layer as an everyman opposed to an action hero.

I took advantage of the $1 deal for lost planet 3, strider, bionic commando and mega man. 3 of them run great on my steam deck. bionic commando sadly does not.

Every XCOM Game Ranked From Worst to Best

BLG writes: "COM games have been around for nearly three decades at this point in some form or another. While XCOM never managed to reach the same heights of success as other long-running franchises, the series definitely has its fair share of fans. With XCOM 3 likely still a couple of years away, we figured we’d reminisce a bit about previous games in the series and try to rank them all from worst to best."

I would have put the original game at number one if it didn't crash all the time.
Have the suspense was know if it was going to load the next round of not.

Xenial731d ago

I know these are ranking the "XCOM" games. However, Phoenix Point, which is made by the same team, is much better than all of the XCOM games. Just my opinion though. lol

Minimoth730d ago

That's not quite accurate. Phoenix Point was made by Julian Gollop, the guy who designed the original X-COM games. The new XCOM games from 2012 onward were made by Firaxis and/or other subsidiaries of 2K Games.

Xcom 1&2 above the original o_O ..... hell no

The more recent games were a massive downgrade (1 was an unfinished mess of a game XD)
